New fun twist on a love story

What a great love story. Unique take on the classic story of a woman winning over an uptight man. And Susannah Jones, the narrator, ABSOLUTLEY NAILED the part of Gorgee (sp?). Great job all the way around! And on a side note, I love that you could tell a story like this without having to say GD every other word. It IS possible to write a steamy interesting book without having to damn God every other word. Great job Lauren...I'm a fan!

So disappointed in the writing

I am far from a prude and enjoy books like this, HOWEVER, is it really necessary to use GD over and over and over again? I couldn't even finish listening to it because hearing the Lord's name taken in vane so incessantly would not allow me to get into the story. If that doesn't bother you, then you will probably enjoy this book. As for me I won't be listening to any more books by K. Bromberg.

Story was just so so

The book was pretty good, but I didn't care for the narration. A little bit of romance, action and mystery!

If it weren't for Dennis Quaid...

I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did in this book. I'm a big fan of Dennis Quaid and loved hearing his voice on the audio, but even Dennis wasn't enough to keep me interested in this book. I gave it a fair shot and got half way through and I was just too bored. To be fair, it just wasn't my cup of tea. If you are big into politics you will probably love this book.

They just keep getting better!

I can't get enough of this author and these 2 narrators! All three of these books are so good and keep you interested throughout. Each one reveals a little bit more about all of the characters and their experience through a terrible event that happened to their family. All the while showing love always finds a way! The romance in all these books are so interesting to watch unfold and the sarcasm and humor this family has when interacting with one another has caught me unexpectedly truly LAUGHING OUT LOUD! Love your books and can't wait for the next one!

Interesting mystery aside from the whiny main character

This book was pretty good, but the main character whined and complained throughout the entire book. I swear she had a headache 3/4s of the time. If they took that portion out it would've been a much better book.

Love the reality show twist on this love story!

This was a great book into the life of Kyle, Jake's brother. I liked how there was background information about Jake that we didn't learn in the first book. The narrator for Kyle killed it! I also loved the narrator for Kensie as I believe she was the same for Casey in the first book. I am a huge fan of the reality show this book seemed to closely immulate and I feel like I knew Marsha who closely resembled a cast member from one of the previous shows. Great story throughout!!

Broken Man Meets Girl Who Can Handle Him!

What did you love best about Cake?

Who doesn't love a story about a guy no woman can seem to make a connection with and then he finally meets the one that changes everything! This book had just enough mystery, just enough "passion" and kept me interested throughout!

What about Andi Arndt and Joe Arden ’s performance did you like?

Loved the performance by the readers. They were interesting to listen to and just liked the overall sound of their voices.
