Historia
I order another bourbon, neat. This is the drink that will flip the switch. I don’t even know how I got here, to this place, to this point. Something is happening to me lately. I’m drinking too much. My sheets are soaking wet when I wake up from nightmares of decaying corpses. I order another drink and swig it, trying to forget about the latest case I can’t shake. Crime solving for me is more complex than the challenge of the hunt, or the process of piecing together a scientific puzzle. The thought of good people suffering drives me to the point of obsession.

I really enjoyed this book, especially since the detective himself read the book. Very interesting!

I never knew!
Revisado: 03-20-22
I love history and I love learning from it. But I like it to be interesting! These two novels this is the second are incredibly interesting. Margaret George brings Nero to life. I have heard the rumors of Nero fiddling while Rome burned. This puts a logical explanation to it. This book is worth reading by anyone who loves historical fiction.

Historia
In this brilliantly imagined novel, acclaimed author C. W. Gortner brings Catherine to life in her own voice, allowing us to enter the intimate world of a woman whose determination to protect her family’s throne and realm plunged her into a lethal struggle for power. From the fairy-tale chateaux of the Loire Valley to the battlefields of the wars of religion to the mob-filled streets of Paris, this is the extraordinary untold journey of one of the most maligned and misunderstood women ever to be queen.

A sympathetic story!
Revisado: 03-27-19
after watching Mary Queen of Scots on TV I assumed this woman would be ruthless and uncaring. However she was a mother fiercely protective of her family and her new phone country France. I loved it!

Historia
In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child—not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power—the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.

I was there!
Revisado: 02-21-19
I was skeptical at first and initially confused because of all the names of the gods that I had forgotten from my school days. But as the book progressed I was immediately swept up in the story and mesmerised buy it. I loved it I felt I was there the person who read the book could have been Circe herself.
