I Couldn't Get Beyond the Bad Performance/Reading
Revisado: 03-15-14
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
The Narrator/Reader was soooo slow it was sleep-inducing. Also, he emphasized the wrong syllables and words in sentences which made for a really broken performance. I have been trying to listen to this over the last two weeks - tonight I am giving up.
What was most disappointing about Kris Nelscott’s story?
The reader. I couldn't tell if the story was good because the performance was so bad, I could not get past it.
Would you be willing to try another one of Mirron Willis’s performances?
NO!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Annoyance

Narrator is so terrible I couldn't listen
Revisado: 07-13-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I think Lisa Gardner is a great author, however, the narrator is so awful I couldn't listen to more than 5 minutes - so I cannot speak to the quality of the actual book.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not sure, but I know I will look for narrator reviews before deciding on one.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Anna Fields was the worst narrator I have ever heard. The narration was like one monotoned, speedy, run on sentence.
Any additional comments?
I will never listen to anything narrated by Anna Fields again. I feel like I wasted my money on this purchase because I will not, cannot, finish listening.
