Historia
Stonehenge is just one of thousands of stone circles erected throughout Britain and Ireland for over three millennia from 3,000 BC on. How did this building tradition survive for so long, over such a large area and with such complexity and uniformity, when the people of the British Isles lived in separate, isolated communities? Graham Phillips argues that these stone circles are evidence of an astonishing system of healthcare and preservation of ancient medical knowledge that held together a society scattered across the British Isles.

A good book for the interested
Revisado: 09-03-22
I liked the book. I had no problems listening to the narrator. The only negative I can say is that sometimes it is listing a lot of sites or other evidence. This is probably more suited in a written format but shows the will to refer to evidence or in other ways have a scientific approach to the subject. The lay lines chapter is such a chapter and a little tedious given that in the end he has totally killed the idea by overly much of discussing and disproving .

A useful survey, just what I wanted

Good historical view
Revisado: 08-22-21
I liked the book and the presentation was ok albeit he assumes the audience is American. He covered a lot of Italian Renaissance countries. I think this book covers a hole I had in the book series.
He is sometimes more concerned with art and culture than people. A destroyed artwork or collection upsets him alot but brutal rules are excused/diminished because they financed so many beautiful artworks.
I would have wanted more coverage of the Longobards, but otherwise I am mostly satisfied with the historical coverage.
In summary I am happy with the book and will probably read it again to get the facts stuck in memory.

Harry Potter Inspired but worth reading
Revisado: 09-19-19
A lot of copy from Harry Potter, but the magic is unique and its own. The story is flowing fine, but sometimes a little easy to foresee. Storytelling was good and narration gives nothing else to wish.

A welcome addition to the series.
Revisado: 09-19-19
This is a welcome addition to the series. Recommend to read this before the third book of the main series. I did it the other way because I had missed this book coming out. Now some things were explained.
This book is short compared to the others. First I was disappointed about that. But now it feels refreshing with something less heavy than the other books.

Napoleon’s invasion of Russia has been roundly thwarted. But even as Capt. William Laurence and the dragon Temeraire pursue the retreating enemy through an unforgiving winter, Napoleon is raising a new force, and he’ll soon have enough men and dragons to resume the offensive. While the emperor regroups, the allies have an opportunity to strike first and defeat him once and for all - if internal struggles and petty squabbles don’t tear them apart.

I like the series, but not the best book in it. Got closure, but a little lame ending.
