Running. Putting distance between himself and the relentless Night Brigade has been Nomad’s strategy for years. But now, his powers too depleted to escape, Nomad finds himself trapped on Canticle, a planet that will kill anyone who doesn’t keep moving. great sci-fi listen

it was all a little too easy, more people should have suffered and struggled. I wasn't really invested in a lot of characters either, if they died I wouldn't have cared

This audible sounded like 45 minutes of regurgitated text from the internet. It sounds, to me, like it was written and read by AI.

Historia
Ernest Hemingway said, “All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". One hundred years after its author’s death, this classic remains remarkably modern and poignantly relevant. In this new edition, Elijah Wood reads Huck in a youthful voice that may be the closest interpretation to Twain’s original intent. His performance captures the excitement and confusion of adolescence and adventure.

The book gave 10 bullet points that could have been stated in a power point presentation. The same points were stated over and over. Website addresses were not given for the agencies to file with, rather it was said this could be done through secretary of state or IRS or a database.
In the 103 minutes I listened to this book I took enough notes to fill one page of a little 3x5 notebook.
I should have paid the $5 rather than using a $16 credit.
The reader did really well, it's not his fault the story was disappointing.

The audible was boring. The chapters didn't match up. The audible didn't give chapter titles. I didn't get the information I was hoping for. 15 minutes of googling will tell you as much as this book does.

Great listen in the series, a bit drug out though
Revisado: 07-22-21
I love the story, and appreciate the value in a 10 hour audible. However the story is really about 2-3 hours, the rest of the time the author is expanding the internal voice of Mike Talbot and describing in extended details the odors involved. Very descriptive, I get it, explain how bad the smells of zombies are, but get to the effin' shooting already. And leave the worthless fart machine dog behind.

Historia
The old psychological models that focused on past hurts and traumatic memories have given way to exciting new breakthroughs, like Dr. Martin Seligman's work on post-traumatic strength and Dr. George Pransky's work on human beings' innate resilience and well-being. No more fixating on psychic wounds that occurred in childhood. Chandler's new revision looks at the work of both of those pioneers and makes optimism available to people who never believed they could reinvent their old ways of being.
