This isn’t the kind of book I usually read (or listen to), but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Liese has a wonderful way of building characters that are relatable, from their backstories to their mannerisms. In the audiobook version, these traits are supported by the performance of each reader, adding a voice and tone that seem fit the characters well. I especially enjoyed Liese’s insights into the medical field (having been in that field herself), and ability to turn paint a picture of life in a senior home. Very glad for the recommendation from my friend to read this book.

The Stormlight Archive is the first set of books by Brandon Sanderson that I've read (or listened to). Brandon Sanderson is amazing! If all of his books are like this, I'm going to have to get them all. The Stormlight Archive series has engrossed me completely, and I have been immersed in listening to the two books back-to-back, living in and being part of this other world, which is very completely believable to me even though there are lots of mysteries and fantasies. That's how good Brandon Sanderson is! I listened to both books back-to-back, and I can tell you that the second book seamlessly continues where the first one ended - the tone, the pace, the action, the plot, the thrill. If you liked the first book, do NOT hesitate for a second in getting the second book in the series.
Mr. Sanderson, when will Book 3 come out?! Hurry!
