Good book
Revisado: 01-03-24
Great structure, to the point not overly verbose or unnecessarily in-depth. His podcast are available to go deeper into individual subjects and the science. Peter did a great job at reading as well.

Historia
In Fallen Tigers: The Fate of America's Missing Airmen in China During World War II, historian Daniel Jackson sheds light on the stories of downed aviators who attempted to evade capture by the Japanese in their bid to return to Allied territory. He reveals that the heroism of these airmen was equaled, and often exceeded, by the Chinese soldiers and civilians who risked their lives to return them safely to American hands.

There is SOOO much that was predicted in the early 2000s you need to read this book to see what they say about the future. The way they explain generational perspectives explains so much of how culture evolves over time.

Historia
Throughout history, humans have been driven by the quest for two cherished ideals: community and freedom. The two don’t coexist easily. We value individuality and self-reliance, yet are utterly dependent on community for our most basic needs. In this intricately crafted and thought-provoking book, Sebastian Junger examines the tension that lies at the heart of what it means to be human.

An Absolute MUST read
Revisado: 02-15-22
If you are interested in what is very likely to happen to America in the next 2 to 3 decades, you NEED to listen to this book. If you are an investor, or have investments in a retirement fund, you NEED to listen to this book! If you have children and care about what the world will look like for them...you get the idea. READ THIS BOOK.
It is heavy on charts and numbers and that is to back up his claims about where the country is going based on history. But even if you don't go deep into the numbers the underlying takeaways still come through.
The book did leave me wanting because it highlights lots of coming trouble, but provides little actions to deal with them.

Historia
Tornadoes, cyclones, tsunamis… Weather can be deadly – especially when it strikes without warning. Millions of Americans could soon find themselves at the mercy of violent weather if the public data behind lifesaving storm alerts gets privatized for personal gain. In his first Audible Original feature, New York Times best-selling author and journalist Michael Lewis delivers hard-hitting research on not-so-random weather data – and how Washington plans to release it.

Great! Short but full of insight.
Revisado: 07-11-19
Micheal Lewis has done it again! There is a reason he so consistently hits best seller lists. This quick peak into what is happening at NOAA, and throughout government regarding data scientist is enlightening, with a narration performance to keep it stimulating (there is something so real about the author matching the accent of the man he interviewed that resinated with me) I do wish the ending was more conclusive but maybe the ending hasn't happened yet (most of the subject matter has happened in the last 3 years)
Can't wait for Michael Lewis's next work!
