Posthumously Published Robert Jordan's 1st Triumph
Revisado: 11-17-20
The first fantasy book written by Robert Jordan, this jewel somehow never saw the bookstores during his life. First class characters, simple magic, believable world setting, this fast paced page turner is written into the mind by Michael Kramer's audio performance. Outside the WOT, "... this was A beginning."

Why Bother with the Rest of the Thief Series
Revisado: 05-03-19
I liked the Thief, the first book in this series. As the author states in the epilogue "I made it up" It's too bad she did. The lovable character in the series was pretty much mistreated throughout the book There is no fun, no explanation of senseless acts and the character's view at the end can only be explained by Stockholm Syndrome . No more for me. Fool me once ...

Best Book in the series

TSR is my favorite WOT book. Each story line is interesting. The glimpses of the past, future and other worlds provide depth to Jordan's multiverse. I look with anticipation to how Amazon will adapt to provide visual to the surreal.

Plenty of Fire
Revisado: 01-29-19
Starting with the last book, The Shadow Rising , the personalities and unique talents of all of the main characters are now flushed out. I believe the series reached the apex with TFOH, although many believe momentum carried through the next book The Lord of Chaos. These early books can stand toe to toe with Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones.

Indiana Jones Meets Mister Toad's Wild Ride
Revisado: 05-20-18
Harry the wizard detective has come a long way. Now a force to be reckoned with, he manages to stay just Harry. On reflection the reader will appreciate the many layers of plot playing out simultaneously. But you will be too busy following the driving action. Best enjoyed if you read this book last to keep track of the cast of characters. It is no wonder it has taken several years to publish the sequel.

Historia
After 9/11, the United States made one of the most secretive and dangerous deals in its history. The evidence against the powerful Saudis who coordinated the attack would be buried. In return, King Faisal would promise to keep the oil flowing and deal with the conspirators in his midst. When the king's own nephew is discovered funding ISIS, the president suspects that the Saudis never intended to live up to their agreement. He decides that the royalty needs to be sent a message and that Mitch Rapp is just the man to deliver it.

Will the Real Mitch Rapp Please Stand Up?
Revisado: 12-07-17
I never thought I would struggle to finish a MR book. It started out interesting but followed a Hollywood formula. The plot was transparent. Chase the bad guy and take him down. The bad guy was hardly a match for the Real Mitch Rapp. The plot of framing MR was ridiculous. Who ever believed he was a saint? A natural follow-up would be Mitch in an apron baking cookies.

What happens when we die? Can miracles be explained? Is there really a god? Answers to questions such as these are as varied as they are confusing and spring from a variety of mystical belief systems. But the fact is we can know the truth. There are solid, logical answers to satisfy the hearts and minds of those who are seeking. If you or someone you know has genuine questions about issues at the core of human existence, this apologetic series is an excellent resource.

Historia
Joni Mitchell is a cultural touchstone for generations of Americans. In her heyday she released 10 experimental, challenging, and revealing albums; her lyrics captivated people with the beauty of their language and the rawness of their emotions, both deeply personal to Mitchell and universally relatable to her audience. In this intimate biography, composed of dozens of in-person interviews with Mitchell, David Yaffe reveals the backstory behind the famous songs.

This is where it all began for Mitch Rapp
Revisado: 09-15-17
With the American Assassin Movie coming out I wanted to re-visit the first installment of this epic series. Although this is an abridged version, it completely captures the story and characters that made all of the Vince Flynn books page turners. Here is Mitch at his best, without the regrets and distrust of authority that haunted him in later stories. Knowing that his legacy will continue after his creator passed, everyone should experience the beginning of an American legend. Long live Mitch Rapp!

Historia
Sheriff Walt Longmire is enjoying a celebratory beer after a weapons certification at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy when a younger sheriff confronts him with a photograph of 25 armed men standing in front of a Challenger steam locomotive. It takes him back to when, fresh from the battlefields of Vietnam, then-deputy Walt accompanied his mentor Lucian to the annual Wyoming Sheriff's Association junket held on the excursion train known as the Western Star, which ran the length of Wyoming from Cheyenne to Evanston and back.

The Only True Villain is the author!
Revisado: 09-08-17
How do you ruin a great series and destroy a favorite character? Subject him to preposterous coincidences, drudge up a past that never happened, highlight evildoers that no one cares about and fail to finish it off. Oh, and for good measure switch between present and past at random and reduce all supporting characters to stereotypes. Unfortunately this book causes one to reflect on how poorly females have been portrayed throughout the books.
