Historia
1944. Physics professor Alfred Mendel and his family were trying to flee Paris when they were caught and forced onto a train, along with thousands of other Jewish families. At the other end of the long, torturous train ride, Alfred is separated from his family and sent to the men’s camp, where all of his belongings are tossed on a roaring fire. His books, his papers, his life’s work. The Nazis have no idea what they have just destroyed. And without that physical record, Alfred is one of only two people in the world with his particular knowledge. Knowledge that could start a war, or end it.

I think of myself as a novel WW2 history buff so to come across such an inspirational true story that I've not already learned about is great!

Absolutely Fascinating!

I'm a fan of these WW2 stories so I'm bias in my review.
The things these people seen, went through & had to do on a daily basis just to survive is extraordinary and at times horrifying!
to the author of this book Thank you for your service and for your story!

the story as a whole & all the different characters is what stood out most to me.
Revisado: 01-12-24
The narrator really brought this story home!
the plot itself keeps you listening in anticipation for what's next.
I also enjoy the fact that I have to keep reminding myself that this story is fiction & not based on real events.
Thank you!

Feels Bias
Revisado: 10-27-22
I feel that this book is bias, yes these are President Trump's own words but the author also gives his opinion on Trump in a manner of stating facts.
not sure why people don't like President Trump considering our country was never better financially & security wise!
ask construction workers, stock brokers waitresses & other blue collar workers how good their lives were under Trump!!!
the greatest 4 years in my 36 years of living...
