Bery intense experience of bipolar disorder. It was mot made clear whether or not this is a true story, and at times the dialogue was diffult to take in, due to the intensity. Still, and important book for those studying or experiencing mental illness.

This was one of the very best books I’ve listened to, maybe THE best. From the characters to every inch of the story, the pain and healing of these four young people, everything was written with empathy and intellence. The urgency and drama kept me so engaged that I wished the book could have gone on an on without end. The readers were extraordinary.

I enjoyed thiis performance, as well as the plot twist at the end. Some of the sexual innuendo between characters felt out of place, as if thrown in for no reason. Fun listen over all.

For the first third to half of the book, I thought I had heard it, even though it’s newly released. Connelly is seemingly reaching back to his last novel for a lot of this. Readers were good, and ultimately there was an in tree wresting premise and follow through.

Riveting and intense observation and interviews, highlighting the media vs. government, the hidden underbelly of reporting, and also the good and evil we are all capable of. I learned a lot about why the news has evolved into entertainment, rather than factual coverage - largely because people want drama, or they don’t pay attention. Both sad and frightening in this age of misinformation.
