Not quite as good as the first book but VERY good!

I loved continuing with the Ballantyne Family! This book is very well written. Listening to it pulls you into the story so much so that you will hate to turn off the car!

First, I’d like to start with the narrator Meghan Kelly... I’d rather listen to a computer generated voice. It is a terrible narration!
Second, I LOVE romance, especially historical, and I always look for a clean story. I have an imagination and would rather those adult parts be left to it. I usually listen to Christian books but clean is acceptable. This content was not acceptable! Find another book, this one stinks!!!

Not nearly as good as some other Witemeyer novels, lacking the humor and quirky characters. But not bad. I found the story to be interesting and but a little heavy on the sad story side. I listened to the whole book but without the “I feel like I can’t stop listening” feeling of some of her other novels

More than a bit nasty!

This book was a bit disappointing. With an amazing build up to be quite the best of the series. The romantic and heart stopping romantic moment was replaced with a almost pornographic scene followed by yet another and then another to the point that the romance was lost. The hero in this, Michael book was so likable that I was angry with Francesca.

Decent...but a bit slow

Although the story is nice it developed way too slow and felt a bit strained. Not nearly as good as the 1st book but it was nice to have a continued story of the family that we have grown to love. Here's hoping that the following books move a bit smoother.
