Civilian people do not live in single apartments on a Navy base. The crimes on a navy base are handled by military police. Single housing on base are for single military people in the US.

Love the Books, but disappointed
Revisado: 12-03-23
I know the books are fiction. I am the problem, I am a retired naval officer. I own all 31 books in the SEALs of Honor series, and I will listen to all of them. I repeat I know they are fiction, but It is a struggle listening to Jay Lindenwood's narration... Totally my opinion and I understand. At no time is anyone in the Navy ever called a Private! That is not a Navy rank. There are many other service specific things I could mention, but again I understand it is fiction so I will not name any others...

I do not know how many men read your books, but I am one. I am also a retired military officer. The story was good, but there were a few errors in your research. The USAF does not fly the F/A 18. It is flown by the Navy and the Marines and the Australian and Spanish Air Force. Very few officers, especially in the Air Force go to boot camp. Officers are usually commissioned by the Academy, ROTC (College) or Officer Candidate school. To fly jets you must be at the top of your class.

Historia
Augusta Aldridge believes in Ian Patterson's innocence, even after he was arrested for killing two young women and mutilating their corpses. Because she was with him the night one of the crimes occurred, hidden in the shadows beneath a beachside pier, locked in a wild, unthinking embrace with the man whose dangerous fascination may have fatally lured the other victims. Now that another body has been found, the police suspect a copycat killer, but Augusta is sure they have the wrong man behind bars.

Took Me Home!
Revisado: 03-13-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Tell No Lies to be better than the print version?
I think the print would have been better. The narrator had a little problem with some of the southern sayings and the Gulla.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Augusta - she was more of the hero in this book and she stood by her beliefs.
Have you listened to any of Dara Rosenberg’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. The first book of the series. The only issue I have is that her ability to reproduce the "Gulla" dialect and some of the southern sayings may make it hard for someone not familiar with the sayings or dialect to think that there was an editing issue.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Near the end when Sadie finally made the decision that was right, but very difficult for a mother to make in connection with her child.
Any additional comments?
I grew up in the Charleston area and this book reminds me of the area. Ms. Cosby does an outstanding job in recreating the low country area. For anyone who has not visited the area Ms. Crosby's books do a great job in describing the history and bringing to light the heritage of the low country.

Historia
Caroline Aldridge was surprised by the number of mourners at her mother's funeral. Evidently the newspaper heiress who had caused her children so much pain was well-loved by everyone else in Charleston. Now she was gone, leaving behind countless secrets - and a few demands: Caroline and her sisters must live together for one year or lose their inheritance. And Caroline must take over The Tribune. But a killer is making headlines, and Caroline may have unwittingly stepped into the crosshairs....

Took Me Home!!
Revisado: 03-06-15
Where does Speak No Evil rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top 10
What other book might you compare Speak No Evil to and why?
A couple of Grisham Lawyer stories
Which character – as performed by Dara Rosenberg – was your favorite?
Caroline
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme reaction, but it maintained my attention.
Any additional comments?
I am from the Charleston Area and the book took me home. I could relate to all of the family issues of the sisters as well as the relationship they had with Sadie. For the people who did not like the narrator, you have to go to Charleston and become engrossed in the "Gulla" culture to fully understand Sadie's conversation. The fact that all of the answers were not in the first book does not bother me because it is a series. In my opinion that is the purpose of a series. Looking forward to more and I will download all of the books from Tonya Ann Crosby. Nothing like a man getting in touch with his softer side.
