Listened to all of Creston Mapes books, and they’ve each been amazing. This is one of my favorites. Narrator was amazing, storyline was exceptional, with several ‘edge of the seat’ twists and turns mixed in! Riveting at times! Definitely worth the listen! Can’t wait to get started on the next one. Yes, there is much talk of God and He is leading Everett FROM the darkest depths INTO the light. A long hard road but worth it for this character. You’ll find Redemption, restoration, forgiveness and also a sweet romance. Powerful and profound! It is never too late to turn to Jesus!

Slow Moving

Overall, I enjoyed this book but, in my opinion, it feels like there’s something missing between Whitney and Milas. Not looking for any sexual situations, yet would like to sense some sparks between them! Mystery line extremely good though. On to the next book!

Frustratingly Delightful!

I have loved all of this authors books. The narrator on this particular one was not as demonstrative as her previous narrator. Somewhat monotone. As far as the plot - started off interesting enough, but I got frustrated with the main male character, and felt the book was much longer than it needed to be. That said, I’ve listened through and DID come to a better understanding of what Riley had gone through. I’m glad I pushed through.
It was worth it-just like her others in this series better.

Although not a lot of mystery about this book, as you more or less know how it will end - you’ll find the journey along the way paved with such delight and and this ‘listen’ will certainly bring many smiles!

Quite simply a beautiful display of love!

I’ve always loved Denise Hunter’s books. When it came time to read this book in the progression of the series, I hesitated somewhat because of the previous review I had read. I’m so glad that I decided to make the purchase. I felt it was one of her best. The narrator was amazing and the storyline, simple and sweet. With the chaotic craziness of our world today, I appreciate the reminders of simplicity even in the midst of a full throttle bustle. The reminders about God’s everlasting love, grace that covers so much allowing forgiveness. I love the romance and the genuine love that can grow between a man and a woman as they put God first. I love the community feel of the town and church congregation - so endearing. You simply can’t go wrong with a book by Denise.

Fun, light hearted read!

I just got through with a three book ‘edge of the seat’ suspense themed set and needed to unwind, and this book was perfect! Goes to show that you can have a ‘clean’ romantic novel with tons of fun and frills! No need for nudity and vulgar language! Totally heartwarming - full of romance, heart flutters and smiles! Will be reading more by this author!

Edge of seat series!

This series has been amazing! One of the best Christian fiction series I’ve ever listened to. So glad I ran across this author. Action packed, riveting! Got involved with all the characters! Enjoyed the narration also.

Unusual & outstanding book!

I was returning a book that I realized after I had gotten into - I had read in hardback. Speaking with one of the Audible representatives who was truly delightful, we shared a couple of our favorite reads and she suggested this one. This one did not disappoint. The narrator was amazing and the storyline was like nothing I had read before. Usually when there is going forward and back in time I get somewhat confused but not with this book. Bad language was minimal and what you will go through for love of family is ever apparent here. What spoke to me even more was the fact it was the life of, not just a biological family, but a blended one as well. Sad in some ways yet triumphant in others. Definitely worth your credit! Enjoy!
