Historia
After a year of fighting across three different lands, Dante and Blays have finally brought Gladdic to justice - and in the process, they've unleashed a horror beyond all reckoning. The enemy is known as the White Lich. He is ancient. He is immensely powerful. And Gladdic believes he will soon enslave all of Tanar Atain. Their only chance to defeat him is to strike fast, before the lich has regained his power. But attacking him directly would be suicide.

Great nail bitter!
Revisado: 07-14-17
I'm not sure where to begin..
The story picks up right after the previous book and from there forward, all predictions were thrown out the window..
I grew so use to the means and methods Dante and blaze operated by that I could almost always see what was going to happen next or at least envision their means to victory.
I really enjoyed the struggle this book has to offer and the bigger picture it develops compared to the previous books in the Galand series.
I also enjoyed seeing our main characters having to coup with a whole new feeling of hopelessness and dread and the unlikely friendships they develop along the way.
I disliked some of the talking in circles and the slow build up to the action... but overall it was worth it.
I'd recommend anyone who has gotten this far into the series to not stop now! You MUST experience this adventure!

Any additional comments?
Enjoyed the fight scenes, especially when a certain individual whom I despised bit the dust! Andrew tell did amazing and I think was what The bowl of souls needed to become a 5 out of 5 for me!
Great book and a must if you've already made it this far in the series!

This books is the tipping point of all the events so far, battle, war, death, LOVE... you name it! There is just to many good things I could say about this book but I'd rather leave it to you guys to decide. If you'd made it this far in the series turning back now would be ridiculous and a waste of your time.

Had trouble at first, but it got better
Revisado: 09-15-16
Any additional comments?
This book is the first of a new Saga and is from the perspective of a new hero ( Tarah Woodblade) I had trouble at first because I was use to the previous main characters and felt that I was being forced to take in a whole new character, who's personality and characteristics I didn't quite care for. I was actually happy to get a break every once and awhile and experience some of the events Arcon and (no spoilers) another person with him.
Near the end though I learned why Tarah did the things she did and grew to like her a little more, once I saw she wasn't just some over powered individual who was thrown at me.
I'm glad to be on the next book of the saga, but I wouldn't roll this one out as a miss.
It's a hurdle to get over at first with new characters and events but it gets back on path with the previous characters and current events near the end!
Not to mention there are some amazing fight scenes and even some AMAZING Gnome fighting ;)

You don't necessarily need this book to continue the series, but it does give you a great deal of insight and history of the events the previous books weren't able to go over.
If you really enjoy the series, then I strongly recommend getting your hands on this book!

Justan was raised on the outskirts of the Dremaldrian Battle Academy. He watched his father ascend the ranks within the academy to become one of the most respected warriors in the kingdom. The only thing he has ever wanted is to become an academy student and follow the path of his father. Unfortunately, only the best can enter the academy and Justan is a horrible fighter. Everyone tells him that he is more suited to scholarly work than swordplay.

Absolutely Brilliant
Revisado: 09-01-16
Would you listen to Eye of the Moonrat again? Why?
Yes, a thousand times yes. The world and it's characters are beautifully crafted and the history along with the current events are absolutely addictive. But, the main reason I'd enjoy reading this book again is because of the treasure trove of information packed into it. It's defiantly worth another read own it's own.
What did you like best about this story?
The characters and their unique and distinctive personalities.
Which character – as performed by James Foster – was your favorite?
I can't say James Foster is my favorite voice actor but.. I think he made a great "Lenui" (Lenny ;) )
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The journey begins
Any additional comments?
I strongly suggest reading this book (listening to it). The voice actor isn't my favorite but he doesn't do to bad a job really and the book itself is magnificent! I know i'll be keeping up with the series!

Great continuation from the first book!
Revisado: 08-20-16
Where does The Hidden Masters of Marandur rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is only the second audio book I have completed, but I can honestly say I am hooked! I have to take breaks to digest everything and will probably re-listen to the book one or more times in the near future before completing the series.
Who was your favorite character and why?
General Flynn was by far my favorite character! He is really the first common (background Character) that you get some real dialogue from, not to mention he seems to be a fountain of knowledge and experience! I really hope to see more of him in the upcoming books in the series!
Which scene was your favorite?
A tie. Between the arrival at marandur and the battle Alain and General Flynn experienced.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The arrival and experience the main characters had once inside the walls of Marandur was very moving and upsetting. It really captures the importance of changing the world and their mission ahead, I feel this was an essential experience in order to progress the story.
Any additional comments?
The dialogue repeats quite a bit like in the first book, but I feel it's winding down as the story and importance of their journey becomes more clear. Not to mention a lot of the emotions and feelings the main characters had early on are out in the open, thus reducing much of the monologue.

The Mechanics and the Mages have been bitter rivals, agreeing only on the need to keep the world they rule from changing. But now a Storm approaches, one that could sweep away everything humans have built. Only one person has any chance of uniting enough of Dematr behind her to stop the Storm, but the Great Guilds and many others will stop at nothing to defeat her.

Beautiful world and masterfully crafted history
Revisado: 08-19-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to friends, family and random strangers on the street without hesitation. I am a new reader, never really taking an interest in book as a child or growing up. I figured i'd give it another go and I am hooked on this world it's history and people!
Who was your favorite character and why?
In this book ( The Dragons of Dorcastle ) my favorite character is Alain. I love the idea of magic and I think 'John G. Hemry' does a fantastic job at setting limits, restrictions and rules for it. He seems more like an aid in this book but he shows a lot of promise and I look forward to seeing him develop!
Which scene was your favorite?
When the main character revealed their love to their companion. Right after an action packed, cheek biting, near death experience!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I got shivers and chills when the main character Mari uttered the words, I love you!
Any additional comments?
A fantastic book and great narrator! My only issue is the dialogue and monologue repeat themselves a lot, it gets a little frustrating. However, it's easily overlooked by the rich story and well crafted world of Dematr!
