I really did not know how I was going to like this book. I’m an E.H. hardcore stan and Happy Place was my personal favorite book of all time but HOOOOOOLY MOLY this book superseded my expectations by a long shot. All of the characters are SO well developed. And these are some of my favorite archetypal characters from an E.H. book. I love the lead, the love interest, the friend, the little sister, like legitimately every character was written immaculately. The pacing was perfect and I cared about every plot line. I do not blindly believe that no book is above scrutiny and I’m sure I’ll find my few things that I think could use improvement after I reread this (approximately 5 times at minimum) but this book is an absolute triumph. I would do anything to re read it for the first time again

My new favorite from Alison Cochrun

I was a bit worried at the beginning because it felt like the story was moving fast, and had a lot of exposition. But I had hope it was for a good reason and my god I was right! This story is so heartfelt, and I loved the inclusion of queer history and several beautiful queer love stories. I loved the Charm Offensive, but felt like Kiss Her Once for Me wasn’t quite my cup of tea. But this is such a great sapphic love story with well developed characters, fun relationships, and so much care throughout the whole story. Will definitely listen to again when I want a good cry lol.

This book was unexpectedly fantastic

I was really looking for a cozy but not too cheesy holiday rom com, and oh my god this is now just one of my favorite books period. Such well written characters, good banter, and such genuine heart. The audiobook narrators are also AMAZING.
