Good as any other but...

My only issue is that they changed narrators. I'm sure there's a valid reason and helligers is great but I got a portion into the book and I just wasn't connecting and it was a struggle to sponge up the book. So I restarted back at chapter one and that allowed me to connect better. But still feels like I lost part of the world built by Chatfield do to difference in narration style.

5stars but bad audio editing

Some points of the narration sound recorded in the bathroom. That being said this is great book otherwise and I still give it all 5 stars.

Good but room for improvement

First off I'd like to say I'm not a writer! but I am an avid listener, to sci-fi and most specifically lit-rpg.

With that said I enjoyed most aspects of the book and there's always a but... The first but is the narrator. And not his voice but his pacing I had to slow the listening speed to 0.9 and I still felt I could have gone a bit slower. With some better pacing during the dialog bits more so than the narrative bits this book this book could go from good to great and on its way to excellent.

The other thing is some of the main characters way of talking feels very over the top young character anime at times and then cursing shithead the rest of the time I don't even know how I'd articulate that into a way to accurately reflect my meaning of it. This could in my opinion be probably be fixed with how it's narrated.

Now if you've read this review please remember I gave it an overall of 4 stars and I did enjoy it. I wrote this as if I could sit at the table with the author and narrator and chat about it with them in the maybe slight hope they read it.

Dungeon world has quickly became one of my favorite series. The character growth in both levels and personality makes him easy to connect with. And if not careful it's very easy to binge the book in a single day

this has been one of my favorite audio books and I simply cant wait for book 2 I'm not a pro at reviews I'd just say listen to it and I'd doubt you regret getting it

I truly enjoyed this book it disnt have a super OP main guy. he really has to actively strategize and fumbles his way through some obstacles. the character building I enjoyed the book and since book 2 is out I'm ready to start it now

This is an amazing follow up to The Ritualist honestly made me want to go back and power listen through both again

I connect well with the character with little to no effort. often finding my self consumed by the story and narration. Riding the highs, laughing at the puns, raising blood pressure with the woes and foes of Joe.

loved the book and the story and how close you get with the character his struggles and achievements and all his adventures and the narrator is quickly becoming a favorite of mine can't wait for book 2
