book would be better if I could actually like the heroine. Unfortunately, she comes of as a stubborn idiot. Stubborn to the point of absolute stupidity. Ick.

The story itself seems alright.
The female narrator made me want to scratch out my eyeballs and scream. That constant inflection of hers at the end of every sentence was just annoying

I love this series, and I LOVED the narration for the first book... but gosh, this guy makes even the most exciting bits seem boring, monotonous, and makes the whole book feel like a slog to get through.
it's some serious injustice to the series.

An Annoying Mess

The plot has gotten a little out of control, can't say too much without spoiling things... but that thing at the very end? oh look, BOOM immediately like that? No. And the whole Athena thing... that was a bit much.
The plot felt both rushed, and over saturated, if that makes ANY sense. So much going on, but really not MUCH plot happening. And really, the constant a** kicking the two MCs keep getting from Athena is also quite old.
All in all, books one and two were pretty okay. Book 3 was pretty annoying. Sorry guys.
