Historia
Jeannette Walls grew up with parents whose ideals and stubborn nonconformity were both their curse and their salvation. Rex and Rose Mary Walls had four children. In the beginning, they lived like nomads, moving among Southwest desert towns, camping in the mountains. Rex was a charismatic, brilliant man who, when sober, captured his children's imagination. Rose Mary painted and wrote and couldn't stand the responsibility of providing for her family; she called herself an "excitement addict."

Good Book
Revisado: 04-06-16
This book gives a great perspective of the life of a Jewish family BEFORE, DURING and AFTER WWII. I really enjoyed it. The author is very detailed when describing certain stuff but not in regards to disturbing stuff. I mean about clothes or towns or rooms or people.

Great Book....loved the story
Revisado: 03-29-16
I love this book...I loved the back and forth in time. Usually I get upset when I switch like that because Im usually more intrigued by one story over the other but I was eagerly awaiting each angle and time period abd what was happening next.
I love how you really got the feel of what happened to many after the war.
This book is a bit religious if that's not your thing it is still such a wonderful story.

Loved it
Revisado: 02-02-16
This book kept me VERY ENGAGED! It took you on several journeys and really made you understand what some had to endure during WWII. The lack of trust as well as the faithful friendship of those they were close to prior to Nazi rule. I lived this book very much.
