Hard hitting truth. This lady has done the work to show the rest of us the path. My one gripe that made this book hard to listen to were all the "quote unquote"'s. God good re-record your book and remove them.

Not funny and not a great climbing story.

Not funny, as hard as this book tries to be. The are a ton of other books that document climbing stories and epics far better. Jon Krakauer or Chris Bonnington are two I'd recommend.

Rambling & Narrowly Focused

Four chapters in and Ray is still rambling on about his early days playing the markets. Unless you're in them yourself, it's not particularly useful information or anecdotes. The one area in which this book seemed to garner a lot of praise was Rays use of "principles". What he's talking about is nothing new. It's data driven and fact based decision making.

The available data sources and analytics tools on the web today allow you to do everything he did. He may have been the first to implement and even create some of these tools but it's old hat now and sadly there aren't any breakthrough insights to be had here in my opinion. Lastly, by his own admission he seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time working and away from his family on business trips. If success to you means a real balance between your family and work life skip this book.

Creepy Narration (man doing female voices)

The narrator changes his voice based on the gender and age of the character he is reading for. His female voices are creepy and quite distracting to what is a pretty good story.
