A different perspective…
Revisado: 11-05-24
After hearing Jose Baez and Jonathan Hernandez’s books on Aaron, this book broke the rhythm that those 2 books set in my mind. Those 2 books told a story but it was told in favor of Aaron. This books comes across as non-bias and pulls no punches. It also reveals details that I never even considered (like the possibility that Aaron had HIV and that might be the reason why he allegedly killed Odin Lloyd). Aaron was a troubled man of many layers. His story will always intrigue me.

Filled with headline-making revelations, The Truth About Aaron is a shocking and moving account of promise, tragedy, and loss - of one man’s descent into rage and violence, as told by the person who knew him more closely than anyone else.

Pleasantly Surprised…
Revisado: 11-01-24
I must admit, I was skeptical when I first heard that Jonathan Hernandez was writing & releasing a book. I immediately dismissed it as a “quick cash grab”.
It was interesting to hear things from Jonathan’s side. I always wondered if he harbored resentment toward his younger brother for “making it and essentially living his dream”. Going by the book, it seemed as if Jonathan truly loved his brother and wanted the very best for him. I know that as I type this, Jonathan himself is currently dealing with legal issues of his own. All I can say is that this family, as a whole, needs healing.

Historia
When renowned defense attorney Jose Baez received a request for representation from Aaron Hernandez, the disgraced Patriots tight-end was already serving a life sentence for murder. Defending him in a second, double-murder trial seemed like a lost cause - but Baez accepted the challenge, and their partnership culminated in a dramatic courtroom victory, a race to contest his first conviction, and ultimately a tragedy, when Aaron took his own life days after his acquittal.
