I feel conflicted

As a Texan in Houston I feel personally obligated to say; Howdy, y'all should give this here book a listen.
One thing this series has done beautifully, is make me feel like I am as dumb as Arthur. Sure he's a capable boy, but he knows nothing about his world and neither do I. When he is shocked by a revelation, so am I, and it's incredibly refreshing.
I didn't like the turn in the environment when I first started this book, but it grew on me and in the end, Brixx is still the best boy.

The worst thing about this book is the art. The story is engaging and a pretty wild ride. The narrators do a good enough job, not spectacular but far from awful. Didn't read the synopsis apparently, wasn't expecting it to be so steamy.

The first one hit me really hard when I was in middle school, this one hit me just as hard at 30. Great writing. Not quite as dark as the first book. Damn good.

Maulkin and his Eternal allies may have just caused the apocalypse, but at least they’re doing it with style. The Voidgod is back and the Alvaren Queen is now convinced that Maulkin is the second coming of the Voidgod himself, but at least they have the totally awesome magic sword made out of the weapon that put the big bad down for a long nap last time! No wait, they don’t. The first thing Araphel did after stretching and yawning was to turn it to dust.

There's so much action damn near constantly. It's nice! A little predictable, but I'm one of those people who guess the killer in mysteries like 2 chapters deep. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. Side note: I have a crush on Luke Daniels so I might be a little biased.

Where's the climax!?!?

C'mon, I wanted her to climb his tower, if you know what I mean. If you don't like the way teens talk to each other, I wouldn't recommend this one. There's a lot of 17 year old boy humor, which being a 30 year old woman, I love. My boy Mr Daniels is wonderful as ever. There's plenty of action, interesting skill ups, and your mom.
