Finding it hard to believe

Narration was over the top

The story is good. However, the narrator took the lovely words of the author and created a sappy and over-the-top scenario that was unlike Ms. Covington"s intended story. I will have to go back and reread the book to make sure I remove the narrator's horrible rendition from my mind!

What didn’t you like about Heather Buttler’s performance?
Her voice just irritated me--I won't buy anything she narrates in the future--even if I love the author's work.
Any additional comments?
I read the Kindle version of this book and love it. However, the narrator ruined my perception of Tilly, and I had to re-read the book to get her true essence back in my mind. She is a pivotal character in this series; therefore, I needed to find the real Tilly again before I could continue to enjoy the series.

Narrator's representation of Marguerite was bad

Any additional comments?
My only problem with this performance is that the narrator, Jeffrey Cummings, made Marguerite Argeneau sound like a middle-aged mother. She may be 700 years old; however, the Nanos keep her at an optimal thirty or so. This includes her voice.

His his narration was delivered in absolute monotone; I was unable to discern any modulation in his voice at all.

The concepts outlined the book are great. However, the narrator is abysmal; his vocal appeal is nonexistent. This narrator's voice is reminiscent of a computer generated replication of the human voice. So how do I know the concepts presented in the book are great? I purchased the Kindle version so I could read it. Buy the book and skip this audio version.
