I could say that it was quite an interesting experience, this book. I could' t imagine this much information about one emotional state and those 3 hours didn't last that long. Author really made it easy to digest.
Talking about the actual implementation of strategies, I would say that author gave a lot of practical information as well, so that shouldn't be a problem, and the funny thing is that unlike some other books, I felt the connection and the feeling that author speaks directly to me.
I think that is great!

Didn't know it was codependency...

For the first time, I had dealt with codependency when I was 25 years old. I was in a relationship for over 3 years at that time, and it started to get worse and worse. My friend began going out more often than usual, drinking, partying, I think he didn't even recognize his problems, or either didn't care about them. Stress, anxiety, constant fighting at home became our everyday reality, and one night I decided that I don't want to live like this anymore, and the next morning I left his house and never came back. Looking back, it seems like I made the right decision, but now it looks like I didn't learn too much from that situation except that alcohol is bad for the relationship.
Just recently, I came across this book, which my friend recommended for codependent relationships, similar to the one I had before, so I decided to take the opportunity and learn a little bit about it.
The book came out really helpful. It made me rethink a lot of my past actions and emotions, a lot of new stuff I never heard before. This book definitely has it's value.
