I loved the connection the MC had with her family and the town

Great storyline, very creative, cozy read. Loved the characters. The story revolves around two main characters. One inherits a magical cafe from her grandmother. She also inherits the gift to bake pies that bring the magical blackbirds who console the grieving with dreams of those they lost. The second character has lost her young husband and is finding her way through grief while raising a young daughter. Uplifting story. Loved it

I loved the narrators voices, so funny and engaging. I liked how clean the writer kept it and how twisty the stories each were. The mysteries weren't easily solvable but they each had satisfying conclusions with plausible motives. Fun!

This has been an all time favorite series. Nicole St. Claire is such a great writer. I admit, I'm fan-girling. I hope she writes more but this series wraps up so perfectly, I don't see how she could. Please write more books!! And write a book about writing books. The characters in Pinecroft Cove are unique, clever, distinct, and very fun to read about. The plots are twisty and though I'm pretty good at figuring out what's going to happen, I never did solve her mysteries.

I love this story

I read the book a couple years ago and fell in love with it's quirky characters and unusual storylines. I love the Stork plot and the winter people sub plot. I finished the series and came back to Book one this year. The audio version is great. I picked up so much information that I'd missed first time around. My favorite part is when Katla begins to dream and things start happening in her life and with the people she loves.

H.L. Burke is a fantastic writer. The characters, dialogue, plot , suspense and ending were excellent. The narrator did a great job at voicing the different characters and conveying tension, surprise, etc. I highly recommend it.

I couldn't stop listening. So many twists! I am a writer myself and it drives me crazy when I figure out the ending or solve the mystery mid- story. I didn't solve this one. This book kept its suspense all the way through. It was my daughter's favorite book and I am so glad I read it.
