Historia
Many years and even more levels have passed since Jake and friends entered Nevermore. With quite a number of floors passed, they turn their attention to the Challenge Dungeons. These Challenge Dungeons offer – as the name suggests – unique challenges and circumstances, and completing them will earn each Nevermore competitor points and multipliers to their existing points. As things unfold, it quickly becomes clear it’s through these dungeons that the true top-scorer of the Nevermore Leaderboards will be found.

Historia
Arthur Leywin's quest for the power he knows only as Fate becomes even more pressing as his most dangerous foes gain a terrible new power. When the war between the dragons of Epheotus and the basilisks of Alacrya erupts across Dicathen, the people Arthur cares about most find themselves trapped in a clash of deities. The only way to master Fate and protect them, though, is to place them directly in harm's way in the ultimate gambit.

Too many different PoVs.
Revisado: 03-05-25
So many different characters, so much filler and stuff that wasn't necessary. I'm choking my way through this book and hoping this is the last one in the series. fight scenes drawn out way too long. I don't need a play by play of 15 different fights from 15 different characters that are 20 minutes long. what happened? this used to be one of my faves.

Historia
Hadjar has seen everything that the Mortal Realm of the Nameless World has to offer. Beloved son, disgraced prince, brother, loyal friend, brave warrior, illustrious commander, murderer, traitor, devoted husband, monster . . . All these roles converge in Hadjar Darkhan, the Mad General. He has left behind songs and tales of courage and honor that have become the lament of the thousands who've met their end at his blade, their blood drenching the fields and valleys of the mortal regions. And he did it all so he could keep going, so his journey wouldn't end before its time.

So tired of the flashbacks and B.S.
Revisado: 09-09-24
I don't know why I'm still choking my way through this series. it had the potential to be an epic story but it's ruined constantly by being taken away from the main storyline with flashbacks of all sorts. flashbacks to the enemy's time, flashbacks to his previous life, trials, just a bunch of long winded BS. I dont even know what's going on in this book. This whole series could have been one of my tops if all that was taken out. If any of you want a story that's good and has much better pacing, check out Defiance of the fall. It's one of my tops out of the 600+ books I've listened to.

so much wasted time on that one challenge
Revisado: 08-29-24
wasted like 2 hours on all 4 group members POV in that one challenge. Then had to listen to Liz explain it all again. Just stick to Matt's PoV on these things and use quick explanations for other characters.

Five years ago Corin Cadence's brother entered the Serpent Spire - a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

MC is gay, Author tries to Validate they/them
Revisado: 07-01-23
Only a small percentage of the population can identify with a gay MC. It makes the story a lot less relatable. The author also tries to Validate the use of they/them pronouns for a single person or monster. It's sounds completely ridiculous and confusing trying to refer to one minster as they or them. In book 2, the author feels the need to try and educate the readers on why it's valid. It's some of the stupidest shit I've ever heard in a book. I've listened to 400 audiobooks. This story is completely average, middle of the road. But then the author feels the need to throw his woke bullshit in there and made up uses for pronouns that don't really fit correctly with the English language. They/them typically refers to multiple. in some cases, it can refer to one but only in certain sentence structures. If you don't like these people trying to create a new trend of stupidity, don't support this author.

Stop trying to use They/Them for single person
Revisado: 07-01-23
It sounds completely ridiculous when you try to validate the use of they/them pronouns for a single person or monster. Use the name, he, she, or it. referring to that rashan monster as they and them when it's just one monster is stupid AF.

Historia
"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Revisado: 03-22-22
I've listened to over 400 audiobooks. This one is near the bottom. MC is horrible. Narrator kinda sucks. The story never really got my attention. There's only a handful of books I haven't finished and this is one of them. I just couldn't do it anymore.
