Historia
The complete unabridged audiobook of J.R.R Tolkien's The Silmarillion. The Silmarillion is an account of the Elder Days, of the First Age of Tolkien’s world. It is the ancient drama to which the characters in The Lord of the Rings look back, and in whose events some of them such as Elrond and Galadriel took part.

Finally able to digest this difficult-to-read text
Revisado: 12-17-20
If not for this, I could have never (reasonably) been able to being to understand this collection of stories. I recommend listing to it about 3 to 4 times, and not worrying about 'getting it' on the first pass. . . .I also use it to put my toddler to bed.

Historia
Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

Narrator is indistinguishable between characters
Revisado: 12-09-19
I can read it to my daughter better, and with more zest than this professional narrator. Although he has a cool British accent there is stuble difference in his voice between characters

Historia
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Great Narrator
Revisado: 02-03-19
It's like reading a video game; cool narrator voice. Iterative story line. I've only read book 1 of 1.
