How colorful the past is…
Revisado: 08-24-24
Excellent challenge for the protagonist. The details about the “other” time are fantastic and what stands out to the protagonist is exactly what I realize would stand out. Great story!

In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Curious paths told in perfect detail. Wonderful story - as always by Mr. King

I felt myself in the protagonist’s position because of the detail as to observations and feelings. I loved the story because the ending wasn’t simple.

Historia
Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Closure or chapter 2 of The Shining
Revisado: 04-26-20
This book kept me on my toes. Although it’s been decades since the publishing of the Shining, this book that follows Danny, does so much justice to the feelings the Shining awoke in most King fans. Truly wonderful thank you Mr King and thank you to the narrator.

Inspiring and honest story
Revisado: 07-27-19
The author delivers hard truth about his experience with cerebral palsy and alcoholism. I find that this story challenges how I consider myself and others. I absolutely enjoyed every moment of the book. The narration was also excellent.

Compelling story of a hero
Revisado: 11-14-18
This is a great book about a brave young woman who demonstrated what it means to be courageous and to humbly challenge an institution for the sake of service. It’s also the story of many other courageous women and the men who sometimes questioned and sometimes lauded their service. It was very moving. I am appreciative of the author’s efforts to capture the key parts of this movement and of those servicemembers who allowed themselves to be interviewed.

Historia
Highlighting the fascinating link between a child’s neurological development and the way a parent reacts to misbehavior, No-Drama Discipline provides an effective, compassionate road map for dealing with tantrums, tensions, and tears - without causing a scene. Defining the true meaning of the “d” word (to instruct, not to shout or reprimand), the authors explain how to reach your child, redirect emotions, and turn a meltdown into an opportunity for growth.
