Another enjoyable edition in the Gold Valley series.
I adored Jamie right from the first book, and was so thrilled to see that she was finally getting her own book. I loved that she was a tomboy, and that even though Gabe was used to 'buckle bunnies' who were far from tomboys, he still wanted her and didn't want to change anything about her.
There are a lot of different characters in this story, and for someone who is coming into this book without reading the rest of the series, they may find it difficult to follow along with who is who. I recommend that you start this series at the beginning, it will be well worth your time.
Note on the narration: Susan Elise Freeman narrates this whole series and she does a fantastic job!

Didn't Love This

I didn't love this book and it had nothing to do with the writing (which was fantastic) it just had two plot devises in in that I alway have issues with. A woman who is considered to be infertile and 'magically' ends up pregnant (as someone who can't have children, this one really bugs me) and someone who is a widow whose spouse dies and the person is so deep in mourning they can't drag themselves out. Then they meet someone new and at the end 'maybe I didn't love my first spouse as much as I thought' or 'I never loved anyone as much as this new person'. Why can't you love the same twice?

Susan Mallery Has Done Better

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I adore Susan Mallery, but this book fell so flat for me. Molly was so winey and annoying, I just couldn't take her inner criticism of herself anymore. I finished it till the (as I always finish the books I start) but I found myself increasing the speed just to get it completed.
