Surprised and educated

This was hard to hear knowing that it was a based on true accounts of how horribly humans treated other humans. The book is well done I can see how it helped in the anti slavery movement during Americas most dark and disgraceful time in history. I was surprised by the Uncle Tom character. I had always thought he was a negative character and now I know he was not that at all. He was strong in body, mind, faith and conviction. Although this is a fictional story, it is based on true , accounts that the author researched and experienced.

Cassandra’s story is authentic, funny and a beautiful example of tenacity, survival and strength. It was entertaining and thought-provoking. And as expected Cassandra delivered it in a way that revealed her self and inserted Her character, Elvira, where it was funny and appropriate. Well done Elvira!!

Yes the book is very different from the movie. The characters in the movie Were simpler, less complicated than the characters in the book. And the movie was more fantasy and not as deep. Practical magic is one of my favorite movies and the book is now one of my favorite books for two different reasons.

A moving story

This was a great performance by Bahni Turpin, and a moving story by Angie Thomas. I loved the relationships between the parents and their kids. Especially between the father and daughter. The story is very relevant today. It is a heart breaking subject, thought-provoking, funny in some parts, and hopeful.

Love the hypnosis recording until it reaches the end and Audible announcement jolts me out of a relaxed state. Can Audible please eliminate this from hypnosis recordings? It's fine on other audio book recordings not on hypnosis or any other recordings that are for hypnosis or affirmations. Otherwise this would be a 5 star rating
