Historia
The White Lich has conquered Tanar Atain. Soon, he means to take the entire world. Dante suspects his next target will be Bressel, where the Tanarians have established their court in exile. The only chance to stop the lich will be to forge a fragile alliance between the bitter enemies of three different lands: Tanar Atain, Mallon, and Narashtovik. The city stands on the brink of rebellion. Yet even if Dante, Blays, and Gladdic can unite it, they still might not have the strength to stand against the army of the lich.

Another Great Addition
Revisado: 11-14-18
The Spear of Stars is another great addition to the Cycle of Arawn/Cycle of Galand series. The book offers some of the mainstays of the series, including banter between Dante and Blays, but offers new information on world. This background might leave listeners with more questions than answers. The bulk of the book is about fighting, which some other reviewers have noted as irksome in that Dante et al. are always 'this close' to losing the fight but somehow pull a win in the end. I can definitely understand this perspective but it didn't overwhelm what I enjoyed about the book.
Overall, I think it's another greater addition, if you've liked the rest of the series it's a pretty fair bet that you'll enjoy this one as well.

Few Interesting Tidbits
Revisado: 11-14-18
On Power offers a few interesting stories on how political power can shape our world and affect our day to day lives. These stories help show how a few influential people can wield that influence to benefit themselves even if it isn't an objectively ideal solution. That being said, there isn't a whole lot of substance to the book given it's brevity. It might be seen as a taste test for Robert Caro's other works that are frequently referenced within this short book.

Historia
Julia, a hip, downtown salesgirl at Pelham's jewelry store, finds her social life turned on its head when she is asked to deliver a necklace to the store's young heiress, Lell Pelham, on Lell's wedding day. Beguiled by Julia's earnest cluelessness and her vintage-chic vibe, Lell and her gang adopt Julia, and "Eliza Doolittle" her into passing as the heiress to a family fortune, just for a laugh.

Voice doesn't fit
Revisado: 03-01-17
While the book was interesting, and just what I was looking for after The Devil Wears Prada, the readers voice was distracting and took away from the enjoyment.
