Great addition to the series. Horrible narrator.

Great addition to the series. Horrible narrator.

I was so excited for this book to come out! I love the series! The story was amazing, as usual. I also loved the addition of the short story at the end. Only downside to this audio book is the narrator. The previous books are all narrated by Joyce Bean and she does an amazing job portraying Taylor’s voice as it is explained to be. The new narrator is flat. Sometimes I didn’t notice the change from one female character to another, which was confusing. Having the narration change at this point in the series was disappointing, and left the regular characters lacking.

The story was well written and kept me hooked. The twists and turns were amazing! My favorite part was that the story came full circle with resolution. It didn’t keep me wondering what happened to the characters in the end.

Maybe I had higher expectations for this book because it came from Ashley Flowers, but it missed the mark. Very let down by the story line because it is basically a retelling of the JonBenet Ramsey case. I expected more creativity out of her, this was very unoriginal. I will give her another shot if she writes another book but this was not up to the hype.
