Historia
Forty-two-year-old Steve Levitan has lost everything that matters to him: his marriage, his home, and his career. After finishing a brief prison term for computer hacking, he returns to his home town of Stewart's Crossing, PA, with his tail between his legs. With his parole officer peering over his shoulder, Steve begins a technical writing business and takes a part-time job as an adjunct professor of English at his alma mater Eastern College.

The narrator could be better…
Revisado: 05-25-23
I enjoyed the plot, but the narrator was very monotone, to the point I fell asleep several times while listening. There was not much differentiation between characters or attempts to act the dialogue, either.

Historia
The Indignities of Being a Woman candidly traces the history of womanhood and investigates how much things have really changed for womankind. By carefully x-raying areas such as body image, marriage, mental illness, fashion, and politics, this audiobook examines what it was like to be a woman in the past versus what it’s like now, when women are constantly told equality between the sexes exists but reality proves otherwise.

Chock full of information and snark
Revisado: 01-12-20
Loved the history lesson; loved the narrators! I would give it five stars, but the annoying song that played between chapters drove me crazy.

Historia
It's not every afternoon that an enigmatic, comely blonde named Stilton (like the cheese) walks into the scruffy gin joint where Sammy "Two Toes" Tiffin tends bar. It's love at first sight, but before Sammy can make his move, an air force general named Remy arrives with some urgent business. 'Cause when you need something done, Sammy is the guy to go to; he's got the connections on the street.

The book is great; the performance, not so much
Revisado: 05-19-18
If you like Christopher Moore books, you’ll like this hard-boiled noir spoof as well. However, the narration was so bad that I had to quit listening and get the physical book to read. This book had a lot of characters with accents, and this guy couldn’t do them. A South African character had a Scottish accent for some reason. The Chinese character’s accent drifted in and out. The Italian character sounded like a so-so impression of the Godfather. Maybe I’m overly sensitive to it, but, damn, did it keep taking me out of the story!
