Ripley mispronounces "Nostromo" for the first half of the show. That's the first sign of serious trouble. Was anyone knowledgeable driving the bus here?

The guy who played Scully in "The Leviathan Chronicles" (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) plays Hooper in this production, so at least there's that. Even Ripley sounded like she was in that show.

There was exactly zero reason to have Rutger Hauer plugged into this thing.

I knew nothing about this book other than the Australian reading was wonderful. This was a wild riot. It's very rare that I find a story where I'm essentially unable to anticipate anything correctly. I *highly* recommend this. There are also some pretty interesting notes from the author at the end. Two notes I will offer: it's pretty guy-oriented; and, particularly suited to those who believe that George W. Bush is the Worst. President. Ever.

Fisher Stevens is the absolutely perfect performer for this. I knew him only as a bad-guy actor.

I'm not normally a comedy novel kind of person, but this was a most enjoyable book to listen to; very strange and very funny. Really impressive.

Absolutely Wonderful

A great story, engrossing classical details, and a tremendously artistic use of language are all delivered perfectly through the exceptional voice talent of David Timson.

Listening to "The Meaning Of Night" was a particularly wonderful and rich experience.
