Historia
Surrounded by her children, her extended family, and what seems like half of Colleton County, a semi-conscious Rachel breaks weeks of pained silence with snippets of stories as randomly pieced together as a well-worn patchwork quilt. But the Knott family's joy quickly gives way to shock: less than an hour later, Aunt Rachel is found dead in her bed, smothered with a pillow. Who would kill a woman on her deathbed? Was it an act of mercy, or murder?

Bewildered by change of narrators ...............
Revisado: 08-23-14
What would have made Designated Daughters better?
Go back to original narrator.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Too put off by narrator to have a favorite.
What didn’t you like about Margaret Maron’s performance?
I identified with the characters in the other narrators voice. I felt sort of lost listening to this narrator ,I never felt like I was drawn into the story I was too busy trying to figure out who was who in the story.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The story was good and the narrator's voice wasn't a bad voice , but I have come to identify the other narrator with Debra Knot .

Ruined by narration
Revisado: 09-14-12
Would you try another book from Lee Child and/or Dick Hill?
yes
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would have the narrator speak in a normal voice.
How could the performance have been better?
same answer as above
Do you think A Wanted Man needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
The narration bothered me so much that I couldn't get into the story so I don't have an opinion about a sequel.
Any additional comments?
Whoever made the decision to have Dick Hill read like he had adnoid problems made a huge mistake in my opinion. I couldn't even understand much of what he said and it made Reacher sound like he was mentally challenged. I did NOT enjoy this book at all and I have liked all of the other Reacher books. I also have enjoyed other narrations by Dick Hill. Very DISAPPOINTED!

The charming Hillside Manor is the perfect B&B for a few days of R&R. Okay, so it also features the occasional corpse or two. But is a small body count really any reason for the state to yank Judith McMonigle Flynn's innkeeper's license? Exhausted from answering the nosy critics from the state B&B association, Judith needs a change of scenery. Volunteering to help out at the State B&B booth during Oktoberfest is just the opportunity she's looking for. But before the beer begins flowing, Judith finds a dead body.

Same ole Story
Revisado: 04-10-12
Would you try another book from C. J. Box and/or David Chandler?
Yes I have enjoyed all of the Joe Pickett books, but if they continue with the same storyline as this book I will probably stop reading C J Box.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Nate has been sold out in order to make him fit the mold of sex for the sake of sex you find in most books. He use to have a code he lived up to ,but now he is just like everyone else BORING . I am so disappointed with the direction this story line took.
Could you see Force of Nature being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Just pick a star............they are interchangable....

Historia
Alaska aviation entrepreneur Finn Grant died in the fiery crash of his Piper Super Cub. Someone sabotaged his engine, and virtually everyone in southwestern Alaska has a motive, including his betrayed wife, his bullied children, and Liam’s wife, bush pilot Wyanet Chouinard. With few places to turn, Liam asks his former mentor Niniltna post commander Sergeant Jim Chopin, for help, and Jim quickly brings Kate onto the case. Working undercover as - of all things - a waitress at Bill’s Bar and Grill, Kate learns over beer and burgers that Grant’s business had expanded meteorically over the last two years.

Would you listen to Restless in the Grave again? Why?
No I rarely listen to a book more than once.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Kate she is always my favorite character
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I liked the narrators voice, but unfortunately she spoke so fast it seemed to me that she just wanted to get it over. I will probably read Dana Stabenow's books from now on rather than listen to Marguerite Gavin.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The speed reading made me nervous.

Huge Disappointment
Revisado: 12-14-11
What did you like best about The Drop? What did you like least?
I liked waiting for the book to come out . I really didn't like the narration.
Would you recommend The Drop to your friends? Why or why not?
I would not recommend The Drop .
How could the performance have been better?
I think the book needed a different narrator or Len Cariou needs to clear his throat before being a male voice and not try to be a woman's voice.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No
Any additional comments?
I have read all of The Harry Bosch books and loved them so I don't know if this was really a let down in the storyline or if I was so put off by the narrator that I couldn't stay interested in what seemed to me to be two separate stories that just didn't mesh well. Really sorry I was set to like this book.
