An exceptional story of all of the heroes who tried to overturn tyranny in Nazi Germany. The author did a great job weaving together multiple stories. of course Mark Bramhall did his usual fantastic job of reading.

Historia
In 1942 the US Army unleashed one of its greatest secret weapons in the battle to defeat Adolf Hitler: training nearly 2,000 German-born Jews in special interrogation techniques and making use of their mastery of the German language, history, and customs. Known as the Ritchie Boys, they were sent in small, elite teams to join every major combat unit in Europe, where they interrogated German POWs and gathered crucial intelligence that saved American lives and helped win the war.

Historia
Things I’ll Never Forget is the story of a young high school graduate in 1965 who faces being drafted into the Army or volunteering for the Marine Corps. These are his memories of funny times, disgusting times and deadly times. The author kept a journal for an entire year; therefore many of the dates, times and places are accurate. The rest is based on memories that are forever tattooed on his brain. This is not a pro-war book, nor is it anti-war. It is the true story of what the Marine Corps was like in the late 1960’s.

By VE day, he had killed at least 240 Germans, had single-handedly destroyed a German tank in one battle and held off six tanks in another, and had become the most decorated soldier in American history, winning every medal his country offered, including the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Great stories from the heros directly

Corpsman is pronounced"core-man" not corZ-man. A little research before you read. Otherwise it was a great story told by the heros who fought in the Pacific.

Historia
In March 1941 Jimmy Stewart, America's boy next door and recent Academy Award winner, left fame and fortune behind and joined the United States Army Air Corps to fulfill his family mission and serve his country. He rose from private to colonel and participated in 20 often-brutal World War II combat missions over Germany and France. In mere months the war took away his boyish looks as he faced near-death experiences and the loss of men under his command. The war finally won, he returned home with millions of other veterans to face an uncertain future.

Drivel
Revisado: 12-04-21
It got to the point where I just couldn't listen anymore. This is one of the worst narrators. He inserts his own accent into things that is totally ridiculous. The story itself is chock full of assumptions drama and if it were a novel that would be great but the way that it's written is poor. I'm sure there are far better books on this hero than this. I would pass.
