I found this book to be awesome. The stories Andrew wrote about were informative, fun, enlightening, and made me think about my own time growing up in the 80's. What I found to be the best part of this book was Andrew's thoughts on his life journey and how certain events or people impacted him and how he was able to reconcile anxieties by the lessons he's learned throughout his journey. Some of those lessons took him some time to work through, to understand, to deconstruct, but damn he has a great way of circling back and explaining how things are now compared to how they are then (psychologically and emotionally speaking).
My only complaint - I wish there was more. I am certain he has many more stories to tell and hopefully he'll be writing some more sometime soon.

One of the best books I’ve listened to in a while. Demi is about as honest and as vulnerable as one can be. While you get a hard charged look at what it means to be a mega celebrity and the challenges that come with it, it’s her insight and reflection towards the end of the book that really resonated with me. I’m just a regular dude from a flyover state and honestly the thing that got me the most was that out of everything that she has accomplished in life, her most important role that she was the most worried about was her role as a mother...a parent. Not all parents think like that. But it sounds to me that when you hear her story, she did a pretty damn good job. Which of us parents are perfect?
And...GI Jane was a damn good movie with a way deeper meaning than most understood. :)

Wasn't Sure What to Expect...

But it was damn good. I use Audible to keep me going while I exercise (walk) and this book by far kept me putting in the steps. I literally couldn't turn it off. I know there are three sides to every story - but if Comey's book is accurate and I believe it is, then he truly does have a Higher Loyalty.

Very interesting story about the years of Van Halen with DLR. sounds like a pretty wild ride...I can only imagine all the stuff that didn't make the book.
