Historia
The Cyrists are swiftly moving into position to begin the Culling, and Kate's options are dwindling. With each jump to the past or the future, Kate may trigger a new timeline shift. Worse, the loyalties of those around her - including the allegiances of Kiernan and the Fifth Column, the shadowy group working with Kate - are increasingly unclear.

mediocrity that isn't temporal.
Revisado: 05-16-16
It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. I feel like the story could have ended in the last book. This book barely added anything to the story. I found myself bored with the characters and bored with the plot. the first book was definitely the most interesting.

Historia
One of the genre's favorite pairs returns in a classic fantasy short for both Riyria veterans and first-time readers. Several years have passed since the war-weary mercenary Hadrian and cynical ex-assassin Royce joined forces to start their thieves-for-hire organization better known as Riyria. Things have gone well enough for the team as they do "jobs" for various nobles throughout Elan. Usually that means stealing something, but when a young heiress asks them to steal her…well, that's a first for the pair.

To stop her sadistic grandfather, Saul, and his band of time travelers from rewriting history, Kate must race to retrieve the CHRONOS keys before they fall into the Cyrists’ hands. If she jumps back in time and pulls the wrong key - one that might tip off the Cyrists to her strategy - her whole plan could come crashing down, jeopardizing the future of millions of innocent people. Kate’s only ally is Kiernan, who also carries the time-traveling gene.

Downhill in multiple ways
Revisado: 05-01-15
Is there anything you would change about this book?
1. Take out the pointless sexual themes and content, they add nothing to the story.
2. Focus more on the main plot, this one feels awkwardly paced all the way through.
3. Write a YA novel that doesn't involve a silly love triangle (though like hunger games this one is tolerable at least)
Has Time's Edge turned you off from other books in this genre?
Perhaps a little
What about Kate Rudd’s performance did you like?
She is good. Great at distinguishing characters and a nice emotional tone. Most importantly, not annoying sounding.
Was Time's Edge worth the listening time?
Not entirely, pretty forgettable. I liked the first book though.
Any additional comments?
I will not let my children listen to/read this book. Too many sexual undertones for it's targeted age group. Maybe when they are in mid-end of high school. If the next book in the series doesn't wrap it up, I'm not going to bother buying anymore.

Historia
Kiernan Dunne abandoned his family ties to help Kate fight the Cyrists, and he's never regretted that for one moment. But he doesn't understand why Kate can't remember that night in 1893 Chicago, when she turned back to face the killer chasing them through the smoky corridors of the World's Fair Hotel. Kate placed the CHRONOS key around his neck and made his eight-year-old self promise to wear it always, and that's a promise Kiernan has never broken.

Cash Grab
Revisado: 05-01-15
What disappointed you about Time's Echo?
Ridiculously short, costs more than the second book in the series! Barely adds anything to overall story. Not for children.
What was most disappointing about Rysa Walker’s story?
This whole book could condensed into 1 chapter of the main story. This is a complete cash grab.
What three words best describe Nick Podehl’s voice?
Decent OK average
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Time's Echo?
All of them, and incorporated the last couple chapters into the main books.
Any additional comments?
This book and second in the series contain (unnecessary) sexual themes. I will not be allowing my kids to listen.

Historia
Nearly 100 years before the events of Orson Scott Card's bestselling novel Ender's Game, humans were just beginning to step off Earth and out into the Solar System. A thin web of ships in both asteroid belts; a few stations; a corporate settlement on Luna. No one had seen any sign of other space-faring races; everyone expected that First Contact, if it came, would happen in the future, in the empty reaches between the stars. Then a young navigator on a distant mining ship saw something moving too fast, heading directly for our sun.

I liked the characters. I like card's writing. This series though should have been one book and felt like a cash grab. No doubt there will be three more drawn out books about the second formic war. this should have been book 1 of that series.

Good, but not as satisfying as I hoped
Revisado: 01-23-15
Would you try another book from Orson Scott Card and/or the narrators?
yes, and I have.
What did you like best about this story?
Love the universe and characters. Very intriguing.
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
They are all top notch.
Do you think Visitors needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No, but I would love another book set in the same universe about alternate versions of the characters. Or more of a prologue
Any additional comments?
This final book of the series feels a bit lost to me. I liked it, but it feels kind of thrown together quickly and less purposeful than the others. The ending didn't seem that planned. This probably my favorite series I've read by Card or anyone, I think my expectations were just ridiculously high because I love the other two books so much. It's well worth getting!

"I thought things would change when I found the others. We would stop running. We would fight the Mogadorians. And we would win. But I was wrong. Even though we have come together, we barely escaped from the Mogadorians with our lives. And now we're in hiding, trying to figure out our next move. The six of us are powerful - but we're not yet strong enough to take on their entire army. We haven't discovered the full extent of our Legacies. We haven't learned to work together. And there's still so much that we don't know about the Elders or their plan for us."

Cash Grab Series
Revisado: 11-11-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Maybe, if they don't care about their money
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The story is interesting, they just need to get on with it. The title made it too predictable.
Did the narrators do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Some yes, some no. None of them were terrible, but there a little sub-par to many of the other audiobooks I have.
Was The Fall of Five worth the listening time?
Yes, just not the money. The last two books should have been combined as one book as they are short and fluffy.
Any additional comments?
I like the story - but the books are way too short for full price. I think Pitacus Lores legacy is the ability to string along a concise series into as many books as they can get away with.

Until the day I met John Smith, Number Four, I'd been on the run alone, hiding and fighting to stay alive. Together, we are much more powerful. But it could only last so long before we had to separate to find the others.... I went to Spain to find Seven, and I found even more, including a tenth member of the Garde who escaped from Lorien alive. Ella is younger than the rest of us, but just as brave. Now we're looking for the others - including John. But so are they....

Rise of yet another book in the series
Revisado: 08-20-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Combine it with the previous book and next book so and condense them
If you’ve listened to books by Pittacus Lore before, how does this one compare?
Meh
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
The main character
Do you think The Rise of Nine needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes, and it does, several most likely because the series is a bit of a cash grab
Any additional comments?
Decent clean book (some mild exclatives at times), but really short and the series is looking like it's going to be a big cash grab.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ice?
How it ties into the book of Genesis
If you could rename Ice, what would you call it?
Back to the future

Fun unique story with some clever moments
Revisado: 08-20-13
If you could sum up The Android's Dream in three words, what would they be?
Unique Clever Lewd
Would you be willing to try another book from John Scalzi? Why or why not?
I have, and they are hit and miss for me. When his characters are less lewd and foul and sexual I tend to like his stuff better.
What does Wil Wheaton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His great comedic timing and excellent reading abilities
Any additional comments?
If it bothers you, you should know that this book is quite lewd, contains plenty of foul language, and has some quite perverse parts (a number of references to sex with animals). I found quite distasteful. It has a very well thought out story and plot and was quite exciting and comical.
