Historia
Kelvin Wiltshire lives the life of a simple cook in a remote village on the far side of Trendham. The townsfolk think little of the man and his son and believe him to be just another refugee from the Terabinian war. On cold winter nights, they share rumors of the bloody conflict and the mysterious death of Will Cartwright, the mighty mage who had the power to command storms. They like the new cook. They fear the fallen king. But the two men are one and the same.

came for the action, stayed for the romance
Revisado: 10-11-23
I loved it. I can't stop listening to this series. I listened to all the current books in two weeks straight. 1-4 were absolutely fantastic, 5 made me depressed and this is back to its old self again.
sure it takes a few shortcuts in a few places, to push the story forward many years at a time. But the character's don't feel irredeemable anymore. the feel of dread and obvious idiocy from the last book are gone and the romance is back. And if you are upset by two boys kissing, the corpses and killing should upset you much more in my opinion.

brilliant next entry
Revisado: 09-03-23
Really like the book. The way it's turning, that the characters are not invulnerable, not just black and white. that its not just sex. it's a really good story, with an MC that makes a really great journey from the first book to now. Highly recommend it if you like adult themed books with a lot of tension.

One of the best Books I ever heard!
Revisado: 01-06-16
What did you love best about Red Rising?
The Best about the Book was that there is time to get to know all Characters, but there`s too never a slag in the Action. There is attention to Detail (the Role of Speech) and a nice Stillness in some Moments on one Hand and Complete Chaos in the Next. But it never feels rushed. More planed.
And you get confidence in the Main Character as the Story progresses. There is nice Character Development, but without losing the original in it. The Characters undergo a believable evolution, but are recognizable throughout, never losing their Characteristic traits. More evolving to a stronger and more fearsome Version of themselves.
What other book might you compare Red Rising to and why?
I really can`t compare it to anything. If I must, I could say there`s elements that compare to "Steelheart" from Brandon Sanderson (The Fight against an overwhelming Force) or Eragon from Christopher Paolini (the Flight from Pursuit and development of the Character) and maybe some "Kingkiller Chronicles" from Patrick Rothfuss (The Odyssey the Main Character goes on), but I didn't read a Book so far that is really exactly like this one.
Which scene was your favorite?
The Scene in which the Reaper rescues the ill Mustang from the 2 Deserters.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The Song at the End.
