Good Story, Bad Narrator

This is an entertaining story almost ruined by the narrator. I hate for someone to use really bad phony accents. Just read the story! The other narrators in this series are much better.

Great Story Ruined by Atrocious Cajun Narration

I love Julie Garwood's books. The stories are well-crafted and the characters are charming. This story is ruined by the narration. The phony Cajun accent was so irritating I almost stopped listening. Please re-do this book with a different narrator.

Great Debut Novel

I don't write many reviews and I'm primarily a mystery reader, but I enjoyed this book so much I felt compelled to write a review to tell everyone how satisfying a read it was. It has everything - charming characters, witty dialog, interesting plot. I hope this is the first of many books from Ms. Bengtsson.

The narrators were excellent. Joe Arden is new to me, but I've always enjoyed Andi Arndt. Her work in the Stage Dive series is a must listen.

Good Beginning of a New Series

Great Story, Atrocious Narration

This is a really, really good story that is absolutely ruined by the narration. Ken Kilban ranges from supercilious to over the top dramatic. I never thought anything could make me dislike Mitch Rapp, but the Rapp I heard in this story is someone I'd never want to know. Sit Mr. Kilban down and have him listen to a few recordings by George Guidall and Scott Brick to learn how to do a book narration.

Great story. Reader needs basic Spanish lesson.

This is a really entertaining mystery. Good plot. Interesting characters. My only complaint about the book is the reader's mispronunciation of Spanish words and you can't have a tale about Santa Fe without lots of Spanish words. Just give the woman a basic pronunciation guide. Lots and lots of people in Santa Fe don't speak Spanish, but everyone pronounces the streets, towns, and menu items correctly.

Favorite Series Ever

After I read Lick, I didn't think the other books in the series could be as good, but I was wrong. They just kept getting better and better. I can't wait for Ben's story! When I've read other series (and I've read a lot), there was usually at least one or two that was disappointing, but not with this one. I'm really looking forward to more books by Kylie Scott on audible.

Disappointing Ending

I loved the first two books in this trilogy (Fall from Grace and Loss of Innocence). I couldn't wait to read this book to see how Patterson resolved this family's convoluted situation. I'm pretty open-minded and anything but a prude, but the "ick" factor just left me cold. Realistically, I don't see how there could ever be a "happily ever after" as implied in the epilogue.

Great New Series

I hope this is the first of many books in this series. I haven't been this impressed with the beginning of a series since I read Sue Grafton's A Is For Alibi. The principles are intriguing and more than a little different from your usual lead characters. I didn't figure out who the villain was until the very end, which is unusual for me. I can't wait for the second book.

Twists and Turns Galore

MR's Joe O'Loughlin series continues to entertain and give the brain a good workout trying to figure out who the villain is. I've thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series.
