A great listen
Revisado: 08-16-22
This series is one of my favorites. This is my second time listening through the entire series and I think I enjoyed this book better the second time than the first.

Sweet story
Revisado: 05-23-22
Some of the reviews I read before starting this book made comments about the young girl in the book, I am wondering how much time they have actually spent around young girls or kids for that matter. I loved Sadie- this is a sweet story about loss and working out your grief.

Historia
Cordelia Grace watched Bernard Howard, the love of her young life, go off to fight for our country in WWII. And she has spent the last three years creating the Pine Cone quilt that will grace their marriage bed when he comes home. Each row of triangles signifies a layer in her life, sets of memories, hopes, dreams, and prayers for her future, enough spoken words to cover them forever.

This was an amazing book. I loved listening about another era, discrimination is ugliest form and rising above. Highly recommend.

Can be graphic at times
Revisado: 05-11-22
Story can be a bit difficult to follow at times as you don’t know who is talking at times. This is written during the heart of the civil war, about a woman and family desiring to help others. All of this is wonderful, but it may be very difficult for some to listen to the process of amputation and the horrific cries of pain discussed. If you are a member of armed service, or love someone in the military, or law enforcement and first responder, this book may be a bit triggering.

Historia
After a tornado rips through her town, store owner Abigail comes across a piece of fabric from a wedding dress among the devastation. Abigail is moved to start collecting other swatches of fabric she finds - her neighbor’s kitchen curtains, a man’s necktie, a dog’s bed - which she stashes in shopping bags. As she pursues her seemingly absurd quest, horrible realities spark the question, “What kind of a God would allow such tragedy?”

Heartwarming story
Revisado: 04-12-22
I listened to this book a month after my in laws place was hit by a tornado. This book was such a good reflection of the emotions that we went through as we helped them and continue to help those who grieved loss.
