Definitely worth a listen . I’ve already gotten book 2!! My only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 start review is simple…. I was not a huge fan of the male narrator. It wasn’t bad , I just didn’t care for the way he portrayed the character. Also, the switching of characters from Anna to Collin was jarring and through me out of the story especially Collins parts . I like it better with one voice actor. It’s just my opinion but is the reason for 4 starts . The story itself was good . The creatures and story line were great 😊

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to make of this book. I’ve had it in my wish list for a while and just decided to go ahead and give it a try. I’m so glad I did. It’s definitely appropriate for kids and it explore a lot of things younger kids and young teenagers deal with daily. Put that all together with a little bit of magic and adventure and you have this book! There’s a part two so I’m going to read that as well. It’s definitely worth the credit or whatever it cost to buy so go ahead and do it if you’re thinking about it :)

Wonderful story !
Revisado: 11-03-24
I have this book on my wish list months before it even came out on audiobook, I found the preview of it very interesting and then I had completely forgotten about it until two days ago.
I am so glad that I remembered and read /listened to this book! I love fantasy books, specifically YA or even children fantasy books, even though I’m an adult. This is one of the best ones I have listened to in a while. The book was full of adventure, mythical creatures, sadness, bravery and love and everything in between! It touched my heart and I cannot wait for part two to come out next year. To be honest with you I will probably read it before it’s available on audio. I usually listen to the audio and then buy the books afterwards, but this one I will be looking for as soon as it comes out. Such a great story.

entertaining and enjoyable, even the intros ☺️
Revisado: 09-01-24
ignore review that says “intros are annoying “ It makes zero sense considering the entire thing is “ JK ROWLING STUFF” and even if that was the case it would be the performance 🙄I really wish they would filter the reviews for misinformation!
Anyway …..onto the review
I love the HP books and have read\listened to them all more than I can count or remember . So, when I seen this was coming out , I preordered it of course ! It’s full of little facts and background information on some of our most loved and not so loved characters . How certain things came to be and maybe even a few things you had never wondered about ! In short , it’s a great addition to the already wonderful Wizarding world of HP . I can’t wait for the next !!!

It turns out that surviving the depths of the labyrinth and helping stop a coup both tend to attract notice. If Hugh had his way, he'd happily go back to being just another anonymous student. He has more than enough to deal with already as he starts his second year, between his crushing load of schoolwork, training as a prospective candidate to the Librarians Errant, and navigating a long distance relationship.

Good story !
Revisado: 02-27-24
This series was an unexpected surprise. It had been sitting in my wishlist, for I don’t know how long and I’m glad I took a chance on it. I gave it four stars instead of five because the narrator is kind of weird, but he doesn’t ruin the story and you get used to it . It’s definitely a good fantasy. Story with all the twist and turns and ups and downs. There is a little romance but nothing over the top aside from kissing.
If I have to read another eye rolling review about people having an issue with gay couples, im going to go nuts . Yes, there is a gay couple in this book it. It mentions it maybe three times in the entire book. It’s not a huge part of the series by any means, and by the end of this specific book one of the characters is no longer around, so the point is moot. The relationship is OVER ! it is disturbing how many homophobic people we have in this world. I read a review from 2021 about a book that was written in the early 2000s, and apparently had a gay couple in it, and the person was referring to it as “ being woke “ How is that even possible when that word “woke “didn’t even come into existence until 2020 and the book was written in early 2000? How could that person possibly be promoting wokeness when there was no such thing when the book was actually written? Things are really getting out of hand, and I think that Audible should be getting rid of reviews that are based on one itsy-bitsy part of the book. Some of them are even vulgar. I did report most of them :)
Anyhow, now that I’ve said all that this book is definitely worth reading along with the rest of the series that I’ve read so far. It’s not the best, but it is definitely worth it. Which is why I gave it four stars.

Mage Errant: Publisher's Pack contains books one and two of the Mage Errant series: Into the Labyrinth and Jewel of the Endless Erg. Hugh of Emblin is, so far as he's concerned, the worst student that the Academy at Skyhold has ever seen. He can barely cast any spells at all, and those he does cast tend to fail explosively.

Revisado: 02-22-24
On to book 3 ! I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to read this series. I ran across it I don’t know how many times, when looking for a new book to read, and I always passed it up. But I took a chance on it and got the publishers pack and I’m so glad I did. I don’t wanna give a whole Lotta spoilers, because I hate when I read reviews with spoilers! But it’s got everything in it that fantasy or magical books have. There’s a lot of twist and turns in these books, though that I wasn’t expecting, I will say that, especially in the first book. The second one had some as well and I’m really looking forward to moving to 3.

Revisado: 02-14-24
This is one of the best books I’ve read listened to I say pleasantly surprised because it sounded OK in the authors summary, but I wasn’t sure. But I’m so glad that I listened to it, and I hope there’s more coming! It ended on kind of a cliffhanger, not to spoil anything for anybody, so there can definitely be more books and I’m looking forward to them.

Things get worse when his parents move the family from London to his grandmother’s creepy manor in the English countryside. Now he has to deal with hairless dolls in the library, weird stone creatures on the roof, and a spooky forest at the edge of the backyard. But these turn out to be the least of Archibald's problems.

Great story
Revisado: 02-02-24
What a hidden gem ! I kept seeing this pop up as a recommendation for me to read, and even though it was a free one , I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read or not . Anyway, I started reading it and I’m so glad that I did! The characters are likable, there’s a decent plot, some villains and some laughs….The story follows Archibald. He’s a smart young man, but a scaredy-cat as well. Scared or not he’s very curious and he finds this globe and before he knows it he’s in a place that’s not on any map that he’s ever heard of. There’s mythical creatures, and some magic and some twists and turns !! meanwhile, his sister is desperately trying to find him back in the real world. This book has all the stuff fantasies should have and more. I am excited to move on to book number two!!!
