I tried.
I really really did.
I didn't like Bridget the MC enough to care if her name ever got cleared.
I didn't like Oz enough to put up with his horrid sexism (treating a person you just met in this life or the afterlife, like property, is never a good look--regardless of how "hot" someone thinks you are).
I didn't like the lack of world building--I didn't want all the information at the start, but some info would've made me care a little more about the Afterlife.
The narration was good.
The story for me, not so much.

Homecoming, boys, and Zombies, oh my.

Megan Berry a 15 almost 16 year old sophomore from Carol, Arkansas just wants to be normal, go to the homecoming dance with a senior boy named Josh. When suddenly her ability to “Settle the Dead,” returns derailing both her wishes for normal life and her crush of the week.
Overall I found the first few hours of this book enjoyable, if not wholly predictable, but somewhere as more zombies show up, Megan stops being cute and turns evening more annoying than when the book started. The narrator Jessica Almasy, does a good job portraying Megan as a 15 year old teenage girl. The problem is Megan herself, by the time the last 2 hours roll around, you find yourself wishing she’d get turned already. I give the book 2 to 2.5 stars.

A very dark tale.

Unlike the other Cormoran Strike novels, this one, is darker, the subject matter more disturbing. Based on the heaviness of the subject matter, it somewhat affected the characters, making both Robin and Cormoran seem weaker, duller almost, then the books previous to this one. It in no way turned off continuing to visit the world in which Cormoran and Robin inhabit, it was just less enjoyable, given the intense brutality of the killer. Spoiler alert: if you don't want to know, stop now.
I mean it.

Love Story not a Ghost Story.

This book started out with such a great foundation, the sisters were engaging, Jacob interesting and mysterious, but then about half way through it went for 'demon' chasing to sappy love story without the 'love' part. It was like listening to two separate books in one sitting. I didn't hate it, but I don't care about what happens next, especially after such a anti-climatic ending. Nothing is resolved, not entirely, but instead of leaving you wanting for more, it simply leaves you annoyed.

Not Horrible

This book the sequel to Bloodlines, was just okay for me, though I gave it 3 stars, it's more of 2,5 stars book. It dragged in parts, nothing really happening, but Sydney and Adrian have some really cute scenes together which makes this book tolerable.

The Trouble with Harry.

After being disappointed with Changes, I did like this book, but the Harry I fell in love with isn't Harry anymore. My caring about, my loving the flaws, is gone. I can't do it anymore. What was enduring is now gone. the Magic, as it were went poof. He's just not a good flawed person, now all he is is flawed, while I loved the realism in the first few books, now, Harry is that EX you wake up one day and realize you've moved passed.

It's been 2 years since I purchased this book, and honestly I forgot I bought it. Forgot I never reviewed it and I'm not even entirely sure I made it to the end, though I think I did. This book lacked so many things. Story, Characters that you liked. Plot. It just dragged on and on.

Hells Bells

I've stuck with Harry, and we've had our ups and downs. Book 7 has a weaker story line than the others did, parts dragged as Harry rushed around trying to save the day. The ending was worth it. Watching Waldo Butters ME and polka lover take more of the center stage was enjoyable.

Sugary Sweet.

I love Half-Moon Hollow. I'm not sure this 2 hour short story set during the time of Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men, is worth the credit or 6.95 dollar price tag. It's sweet, and it's nice to see Dick and Andrea get together, but it is also very short and semi rushed as a result. Amanda Ronconi is as always brilliant with her voices and timing delivering a stellar performance. I will say if you love Half-moon Hollow, you probably will adding this book to your collection.
