Historia
Samantha Irby’s career has taken her to new heights. She dodges calls from Hollywood and flop sweats on the red carpet at premieres (well, one premiere). But nothing is ever as it seems online, where she can crop out all the ugly parts. Irby got a lot of weird emails about Carrie Bradshaw, and not only is there diarrhea to avoid, but now—anaphylactic shock. She is turned away from restaurants for being inappropriately dressed and looks for the best ways to cope, i.e., reveling in the offerings of QVC and adopting a deranged pandemic dog.

As always, Samantha Irby is hilarious
Revisado: 06-22-23
I was so excited for this latest release and it was as hilarious and comforting as all of Irby’s books. Her narration makes me feel like I’m spending time with a friend and I often re-listen when I need a comfort book. This will definitely be added to the rotation.

Historia
Emily is having the time of her life - she’s in the mountains of Chile with her best friend, Kristen, on their annual reunion trip, and the women are feeling closer than ever. But on the last night of the trip, Emily enters their hotel suite to find blood and broken glass on the floor. Kristen says the cute backpacker she brought back to their room attacked her, and she had no choice but to kill him in self-defense.

Couldn’t get past the narrator
Revisado: 09-02-21
I’ll have to order this book on Kindle or a physical copy. The narrator reads this like she’s reading a book report in middle school. So monotonous that I couldn’t even focus on the story. Had to return it for a credit.
