Historia
Esme is born into a world of words. Motherless and irrepressibly curious, she spends her childhood in the Scriptorium, an Oxford garden shed in which her father and a team of dedicated lexicographers are collecting words for the very first Oxford English Dictionary. Young Esme’s place is beneath the sorting table, unseen and unheard. One day a slip of paper containing the word bondmaid flutters beneath the table. She rescues the slip and, learning that the word means “slave girl,” begins to collect other words discarded or neglected by the dictionary men.

Unfinished work, missing many pages, this audio not worth money/credit.
Revisado: 02-23-25
I am going to try to get my money/credit back, there are several times in this audiobook that the chapters are missing pages of words in the story
Chapters are not completed. One such part had seven pages to the story that were not included. Read the book if you want to know a good story. If I could get a rating of zero I would.

Confusing and long winded
Revisado: 01-28-25
Rather confusing and very long winded, if allowed I will be returning back for a refund credit. Would have been a better story maybe if it was edited and a clearer storyline was singular instead of seemingly three story in one run on book.

Historia
The ornate reading room at the Boston Public Library is quiet—until the tranquility is shattered by a woman's terrified scream. Security guards take charge immediately, instructing everyone inside to stay put until the threat is identified and contained. While they wait for the all-clear, four strangers, who'd happened to sit at the same table, pass the time in conversation, and friendships are struck. Each has his or her own reasons for being in the reading room that morning—it just happens that one is a murderer.

I love the whole story-real and novel - the story was very interesting and well written. It reminded me of the way Agatha, Christie’s novels with a modern twist.

The kick out
Revisado: 08-29-24
This is a very interesting story about a girls dream to dance, becoming a rocket, realizing her potential and not letting anyone stand in her way. it was wonderful to see that this character was so enthusiastic to share her gifts and know to help others achieve their dreams too. I really enjoyed that. The two characters at the end, started a whole new chapter when others would’ve thought the Rockette Was finished with this chapter in her life. The story kept my interest from the first page the first line to the very last. My thanks to the author, and to the narrator that brought the story to life.

Historia
Nola Trenholm may not be psychic herself, but she’s spent enough time around people who are to know when ghosts are present, and there are definitely a few lingering spirits in her recently purchased Creole cottage in New Orleans. Something, or someone, is keeping them tethered to this world. And not all of them are benign. But with the sudden return of Sunny Ryan, Beau Ryan’s long-lost sister, Nola has plenty to distract her from her ghostly housemates.

Revisado: 10-30-23
This is as wonderful a series as Tradd Street, Jolene is a hoot, just love her southern charm and traditional outlook on being a Lady. Just the best friend that Nola always needed. The story line is so intriguing, I love the mystery of finding out what you think is the ending only to be caught in the wonderment of a further story yet to be told. Thank you for your talents in ghost stories telling. Can’t wait for more details.

Revisado: 03-31-22
So glad it’s not really good bye since I will definitely be ready the next series featuring Nola.
I was immediately captured by the Tradd Street series characters and feel that their developing story was so enchanting that I will miss them and hope to see or hear about them in the new series even if it just in pasting.
Thank you for these wonderful books .
