The performer really did a great job emoting and doing different voices for each character. It really brought the story to life so much so that, at the end, during a particular moment of exemplary forgiveness between two characters, I was moved to tears. It's a sad story made all the more so because this happens every day in our judicial system in the United States.

I remember reading Trixie Belden books when I was in Junior High. I wanted to share these delightful mysteries with my Junior High aged son, and although the writing is obviously dated compared to what our children experience in reading these days, he thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had enough suspenseful moments and interesting twists, that it held his interest all the way through. The narrator did a fine job, but perhaps the editing needed some work, because it seemed that her voice was cut at the beginning of many sentences, and we often didn't get the full word, although we knew what the word was. I would recommend this full series to anyone with 5th - 9th graders. It will allow them to step back in time when movies and books didn't need gore, filthy language and sex in order to be interesting.
