Historia
On the evening of November 24, 1971, D. B. Cooper hijacked Flight 305—Portland to Seattle—with a fake bomb, collected a ransom of $200,000, and then parachuted from the rear of the plane, disappearing into the night...and into history. Fifty years later, Agent Pendergast takes on a bizarre and gruesome case: in the ghost-haunted city of Savannah, Georgia, bodies are found with no blood left in their veins—sowing panic and reviving whispered tales of the infamous Savannah Vampire.

Pendergast series without Auberjonis is bad enough
Revisado: 12-27-23
OK...really pushing it with this title. Blood suckers in a southern city...OK. UNTIL Pendergast steps through into another dimension, on another planet, with a lower gravity BUT he has no problem breathing the air??? C'mon. It's like the writers ran out of ideas and just threw something weird at the wall so they could finish the book.

Historia
Meet Threadbare. He is 12 inches tall, full of fluff, and really, really bad at being a hero. Magically animated and discarded by his maker as a failed experiment, he is saved by a little girl. But she's got problems of her own, and he might not be able to help her. Fortunately for the little golem, he's quick to find allies, learn skills, gain levels, and survive horrible predicaments. Which is good, because his creator has a whole lot of enemies …

I guess I should have known better, it being a children's book! Listened for 1 1/2 hrs and saw no reason to go on. The thick English accent was almost undecipherable.

Historia
When Redwall was published in 1987 it catapulted author Brian Jacques to international stardom. And small wonder! This enthralling tale is jam-packed with the things we long for in a great adventure: danger, laughter, hairbreadth escapes, tragedy, mystery, a touch of wonder, a truly despicable villain, and a hero we can take to heart.

I was wrong!
Revisado: 11-12-15
A few months ago I rated this poorly and commented that an author shouldn't narrate his own work. I've gone back and just finished Redwall...what the heck was I smokin'? This is an outstanding work. I've read 'em all, but this is done Soooooo well. I'm really pleased and enjoyed it; so I guess I'll just have to buy all of the series! Yay.

YAWN!
Revisado: 07-13-15
I just can't get into Orson Scott Card's style. I made it through most of the first part, but I find, due to the insane repetition of characters analyzing themselves: forward to go backward, to go forward faster, but slower.... I found I really didn't care about a resolution of the story and I won't be reading any more of the series. Very disappointed; but enjoyed that it was a very special price.
