The story was great. I loved how it feels almost like multiple mini stories that lead into one another. Great character development and if you’ve listened to the first two, this new narrator does a pretty good job. That being said. Whoever mixed and mastered the special fx on this audiobook needs to be sued. Homie took the money and ran. Like it’s bad. And it sucks bc the narrator is doing his best with voice acting and I’m sure it would’ve sounded dope as hell if the audio engineer did his job right. Still give it a listen tho. I have Apple air pods pro 2’s and I needed to adjust the volume multiple times. Just saying.

Not What I Expected

So, full disclaimer, toxic masculinity is not for me at all. I do not nor do I ever want to be the Alpha that belittles or otherwise diminishes the quality of life to the people around them.
This book was suggested by a woman & I downloaded it out of sheer curiosity.
That being said, I am so thankful to the author and to all of the impressive information in this book, I, like most grew up without a father or father figure and have been looking my whole adult life for something & not really knowing what that something is.
I’ve found a lot of it in this book. It has inspired me to self evaluate and really truly hone in on what it is I want in life. Not what’s expected of me, or what people think I should do.
This book reads like a conversation from a father to a maturing son. This is what every man or anyone who identifies as a man, or just plain anyone that wants to add value to their life should and needs to read.
I will admit, there are ideologies & opinions in this book that don’t correlate with my morals or beliefs, but as a whole, there is a gold mine of information.
So if you’re looking to better yourself, or just finding yourself, or haven’t quite grown into the person YOU want to become. Read the book. You won’t be disappointed.

Best Book Ever!!!

I have only seen the movie and it is easily one of all time favorite movies. However, a coworker was saying how great the book was and I decided to give it a go. WOW!!! Fantastic! I love this book! 5 stars all the freaking way! Please read this if you haven’t yet. Just do it!!!
