This book is an examination of the New Gilded Age economy resulting from the dismantling of laws and norms that built a post-WWII middle class in the United States. It’s well written, filled with history of antitrust and its antecedents, as well as the steps that have renewed antitrust on domestic and international markets.

As pertains to performance, I found the author’s reading to be extremely distracting as to her vocal ticks. I was glad to reach the end though I was interested in the subject.

The contents of this book are worthy of reading, retaining and revisiting but they’re diminished by the narrator’s choppy delivery, wrongly placed emphases and mispronunciations. I found the delivery very distracting to the detriment of my experience of this book.
