Historia
Frank, funny and open-hearted, You Never Know is an intimate memoir from one of the most beloved actors of our time, the highly personal story of a remarkable life and thoroughly accidental career. In his own voice and uniquely unpretentious style, the famed actor brings listeners on his uncharted but serendipitous journey to the top in Hollywood, his temptations and distractions, his misfires and mistakes and, over time, his well-earned success.

Enjoyable!
Revisado: 01-13-25
I enjoyed listening to Tom Selleck tell his story. He is humble and private, so if you're looking for a tell-all book, this isn't it. The "brick laying" (his words) of his career is very interesting. He comes off as a man of integrity and great work ethic.

This book had it all. I was hooked from the beginning. The characters, the narration, the delicious storyline, the twists, the turns… And it was all tied up neatly in a bow at the end.

Historia
At the height of the Holocaust, 25 young inmates of the infamous Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp - mainly Jewish women and girls - were selected to design, cut, and sew beautiful fashions for elite Nazi women in a dedicated salon. It was work that they hoped would spare them from the gas chambers. This fashion workshop - called the Upper Tailoring Studio - was established by Hedwig Höss, the camp commandant’s wife, and patronized by the wives of SS guards and officers.

Top ten!
Revisado: 06-10-24
This book was not at all what I expected. Having said that, it was excellent on all fronts. The research was outstanding, the narration superb, and the subject matter needed to be told. I've read or listened to at least a hundred books about the Holocaust, and this one is definitely at the top of my list of titles to recommend.
While I cannot say this was an enjoyable read, it was riveting, fact-based, told with integrity, and narrated beautifully.

I remember as a 10 year old watching the news every night...watching the news coverage of the vets returning...being spat upon. I remember my POW bracelet (Joe Pringle from WV) and visiting The Wall and finding his name. This book brought all the feelings, all the emotions, the negativity, the heartbreak, back. The Women is a must read for every American. Kudos to Kristin Hannah for her research, her skill, her coverage of a topic that is still under-reported.
Spectacular book.

It doesn't happen often, but I didn't want this epic novel to end. Five stars!
Extremely well written; I can't say enough about the author's perfect choice of phrasing and descriptions. This storyline has so many layers, unexpected delights, and the comfort of truth.

That’s what happen to Dr. Sims. I wanted to love this but it The Kunstlers was a klunker
Revisado: 04-11-23
Story: nothing new
Narration: left a lot to be desired
Characters: undeveloped and lacking oomph
Why did I finish? I paid for it and I'm no quitter
I found this plodding, not very interesting, and not satisfying. The story was superficial and I wanted the story to dig deep.
The narration killed it for me. The characters were so predictable.
I cannot recommend this title.
