I wish it had not lagged on so much in the first part, I kept reading only because I had heard so many good things about this book. I will check out the next book when it comes out and give it a chance because I like the way the story is developing

I absolutely loved this story, read it in a flash, tbh I didn’t find all the spiciness strictly necessary as the story was in itself wrapped with passion and emotion… cannot wait to read what happens in the next book!!

A very pleasant read with emotional ups and downs

I trusted audible reviews and got this title, a bit worried that it might be too simplistic and obvious. Boy, after a few chapters I knew my doubts were unnecessary! The story is really nicely written, I smiled several times while listening to the dialogues between Casey and Jake and following their beautiful story.
I also really liked the fact that the author decided to give this title its shades of seriousness and tragedy, in several parts of the book I was just left speechless.
I will definitely not abandon this series, now thinking whether to go on to book two which talks about another member of Jake's family, or to skip directly to book 4 which is the sequel to Cake's beautiful story!

Several times hard to follow and understand

I share the same feeling about this second book as the first: slow start, highly confusing middle and exciting and curious ending.
For the second time around I am left wanting to know how the story continues... but I am just not sure to what extent wanting to know how a story ends can motivate me to bear another book and further head scratching...

Guess I need the sequel to make up my mind

I spent most of the time reading this scratching my head... the author’s world is truly imaginative and amazing, but yet quite difficult to understand... after 2/3 of the book it finally started to get to me. I think I should read the next book just to find out what will happen, but I did not fall absolutely in love with this read...
kudos to the narrator, I don’t know how I would have done it understanding somewhat more without jer different character voices!

I was with you throughout your narration, through your laughter and your tears, through your snippets of songs that were explained in your heartful chapters and that I sang along word by word.
I know it’s strange but now I feel so much closer to you and you are closer to me ♥️

What made the experience of listening to The Fault in Our Stars the most enjoyable?

The style of writing... very fresh, easy to read, humorous, ironic despite the plot. The reader was also a pleasure to listen to

What other book might you compare The Fault in Our Stars to and why?

I have read books about terminal illnesses before but the way this book tacked it: with a somewhat humorous tone made it unique

I read this book in 2 days despite living my life and going to work etc. without even realizing it! it was such a pleasure to follow that I didn't even notice it flew by. I absolutely suggest this book

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Davina Porter?

Someone who did not sound so much like my grandmother... at times I felt as if she was reading the book to me and considering the plot it was a complete turnoff

What would have made this romance irresistible?

a bit more of a realistic sense and a more experienced Jamie ... some more turning points and focus on the important, less on the fluff

I started reading this book because many people had suggested it and also because the TV series caught my attention. I have read long books before but at times I had problems with this novel because it lagged during points when it could have perfectly avoided and vice versa it rushed through some pretty crucial points in the story.
The characters were interesting but several times the male lead was not believable... I mean, come on, a rough Scottish islander with such sensitivity despite the historical time? The female character with her nurturing attitude seemed to be the one wearing the pants for most of the time...
I am not sure whether I will continue with the second book. I have read a preview and it intrigues me but I am afraid it will lag on forever like the first book. Yes, I will think about it, but for now I will read something else.
